Which one would you rather have added to the game in a new expansion. Velious or Odus? People who played Everquest1 Please comment

I'm an EQ II newbie but I'd go with Velious for an expansion, and Odus for an adventure pack, or even better, a free download.

I would imagine that odus would be to small of an island to be a full expansion but velious would be interesting depending on what they use from the expansion.

Velious had way more content than Odus.

For me, Velious was the pinnacle of my EQ1 experience. Following expansions just seems to lack something. I had my best times in the Tower of Frozen Shadow, Kael Drakkal, Dragon Necropolis, Eastern Wastes, Great Divide, Cobalt Scar, Skyshrine and most of all, the "Best Dungeon Ever" Velketor's Labyrinth. I'd pay a full expansion's price *just* to have an EQ2 version of Velketor's. I loved pulling in that place and the loot was excellent for the level and challenge of the place.

So Velious or Odus?

For me there is no question at all...

V E L I O U S

I'd prefer Odus first. There wasn't much to it in EQ1, but that doesn't really have any bearing on what they can do in EQ2. They've already introduced some hints that there's something going on there with the Quellithulians in the Overrealm.

Not sure if they've talked anything about Velious (like if it's even still there). I really don't see the fact that Velious was very cool in EQ1 having any real bearing on how great it would be in EQ2. It was a good expansion because it was well done, the setting itself isn't necessarily gifted with an ability to make it a good expansion. And if they rehashed it in the same sort of way as the EQ1 expansion, it would be very disappointing. I want to see it eventually, if it still exists, but I'd like to see Odus first.

Odus probably and it could be a complete top tier expansion. With it the planes could be reintroduced as well (I am an island full of powerful magic users could probably do something like that)

Whereas I think Odus would be an interesting expansion, I really want to see Velious come up after Kunark. I'm sure that even though Kunark will be coming out soon, the devs are always looking for suggestions and ideas for future expansions. Although Velious is said to be melted and a rocky terrain now, it would be highly intriguing to me to see what happened to my old haunt. Kael, ToFS, Thurg, WW, Cobalt Scar even and Skyshrine. All these things hold, for me, more interest than Odus.

Odus is kinda small, I guess include Gunthak and all that in it. But would be my guess for next expansion since Kunark is rated to be mainly 66-80lvls. Though afterwards cant wait for Veliouse

Odus is big enough that it warrants an expansion. i dont know how anyone can say it should be an adventure pack... its just too big for that.

I'm not sure why everyone is convinced that Odus is too small. Size in EQ1 doesn't really have a complete bearing on what they can do with it in EQ2. Look at the first expansion, they made that out of just the desert. And Faydwer seems to have been made much more significant than it was in EQ1.

Just because it was sort of the middle child of old world Norrath (speaking metaphorically, not geographically) in the original game, doesn't mean that there's nothing interesting there now.
