I am going to post it once and only once, but PLEASE bring back Veksar in the Kunark expansion. It was by far one of the most fun and best designed zones in EQ1, it provided a wide range of content and had some of the coolest loot and mobs in the game.

Sadly most people didnt know it was there. The content was mostly undead and lower 50-upper 60s and a 70 raid ghost dragon, I see no reason why those mobs couldn't get a boost up to 70-85.I would prefer it was was a HUGE instance (ie bigger then unrest by 2-3 times) or even a raid zone, but contested would stick with the original plan if necessary.

A quick blurb on the lore-

VEKSAR: Shortly after the Shissar were run out of Kunark, a resort by the name of Veksar was built by the Kylong Iksar Tribe. After standing upon a lake in the middle of Kunark for nearly 1,000 years, Veksar was destroyed by the dragon Garudon, and sunk to the bottom of what is now known as the Lake of Ill Omen.

Now beneath the surface of the lake, Veksar is inhabited by sealife and the spirits of those killed in the incident. It is said that the spirit of the dragon Garudon also resides somewhere in the ruins. Only few adventurers who have chosen to trespass in to Veksar's confines have been able to return to tell about it.

Key things to bring back with it -

Soulscream belt (even if it is a HQ)

Garudon the dragon, can you say OMG COOL

Bloodgill goblins, nasty little social guys, oh how my necro loved them

The rotting shopkeeper, of course, he has the soulscream belt.

And of course all of the mobs sitting in the hottubs!

Ok, thats it I guess. Just please bring it back.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/....html?zstrat=94

Only if they connect the zone to Burning Woodses.

Burning woods?

Nope, Lake of Ill Omen, and honestly it should still be submerged if they want to keep the nostalgia.

Veksar was not part of the original Kunark expansion. There was always a spot for it, but it was added in much, much later. They have enough to work on, I see no reason to bring this back right now. Everything was fine without Veksar in EQ1, I am sure everything will be fine without Veksar in EQ2.

While there is definately a lot of content that was present with the original Kunark, Veksar was a place rich in lore and rich in content. I wouldn't see a reason not to put it into the expansion if they were able due to it's unique nature as a dungeon. Though if it were left out, there is plenty to cover otherwise, yeah.

Doubt we'll see Veksar. In EQLive time, the only thing keeping the water out was a cracked dome. With the confirmed Earthquake that sunk nearby Cabilis, I doubt that dome would have survived. Even if Lake of Ill Omens drained away, the ruins are likely crushed into a thin layer of gravel. Oh and Burned Woods was connected to Veksar in the last Beta cycle, but as of the pre-Beta patch to the Beta server they moved it to be off Timorous Deep. By the time Beta actually opens it may be off Sebilis....

Veksar was "supposed" to be released in the original Kunark expansion but was never finished, it wasn't fully added until later. /agree with the original poster please bring it back , This zone rocked even if its only 1/2 as good as it's original EQ1 incarnation it would still be (sadly) twice as good as most of the zones in EQ2. - Khurghan Ironstay

When Veksar entered Kunark in EQL doesn't make it any less of a terrific place. Still remember the 1st time my Necro entered there, trio'ing w/ an Ench & Sham. ...evil grin
