I am so excited to hear about the rediscovery of Kunark! In EQ1, Kunark was my all time favorite continent. All of my EQ1 characters spent many, many months on Kunark...from Dreadlands to the depth of Old Sebilis.

However, my 2 most favorite places on Kunark were Kaesora and Old Sebilis. I am really hoping that they will both be included in this expansion and that they will be accessible to the average player. I am still fuming over Estate of Unrest being a raid zone. I am a casual gamer. I work 10 hours a day and have a family to tend to on top of that. Because I have a real life, I feel totally penalized by having to miss out on content like Estate of Unrest and Mistmoore Castle. Create some new content for the raid-a-holics....but please let us casual, long time loyal, former EQ1 players enjoy the nostalgia that comes with being able to revisit those places we loved in EQ1. Or make zoning into these places optional....meaning, when you go to zone in, you can select either group or raid options.

And don't think I'm complaining because after 3 years I'm still level 30 and want to enjoy T7 content. No, my main is level 70 and has done about as much as she can solo or in a small group. So, there she sits....I have a small group I can count on regularly. But I don't have time to dedicate to a high end raiding guild or to sit for hours waiting to get a group together to go to Kaladim, Mistmoore Castle, Halls of Fate, or most of the decent dungeons in KOS... I know raiders want more love....But so do small groupers. There is enough solo content already.

Please make the most memorable parts of Kunark available to all who are level appropriate....Not just raiders or those who have the time to waste hours waiting to get into a full group. A small (3-4) balanced group should be able to handle most of the available content, IMO.

I would LOVE to see Kaesora and Sebilis again...I loved those zones in EQ1. Chardok, too.

Faydwer was a smaller continent...so the more popular zones ended up being used more quickly and given to the T7 crowd... Kunark is much larger, and has many more options with things to be brought back. I think we'll be seeing everyone getting a fair share of nostalgic content, whether you're a hardcore raider or a casual small-grouper like described above.

Unrest isnt a raid zone, its a single group instance. Old Sebilis is going to be in Kunark, but now its the seat of the Iksar Empire and im assuming Venril Sathir's throne will be located within. im sure we can expect it to be a level 80 zone.

Seb is included from what I gleaned from the interview. Secondly Unrest is a single group instance, and once you know the layout, not hard. As for your idea that the majority of content should be able to be beaten by 3-4 member groups I'm not sure what you mean by that. As it stands any zone in KoS can be beaten that way as it is except the raid zones. In fact you can go into almost any zone in EoF with a small group and yield the same result. I like the fact that MM is actually a small challenge, the lag in there makes it much harder than it really is. I remember Icy Diggs when it came out and loved the challenge. Nizara was a great addition for the same reason although the bugs can be a pain. I'm sure the dev's are taking much of this into consideration and I'm sure you will have a great time when it comes out.

Kaesora was awesome, once you learned how to handle the zone! I never met a single person who didn't take that suicidal leap into the spider den the first time they went there...unless they were forewarned We loved that zone! Sometimes it would take us an hour or more just to get to the library, where we would spend several more hours. The zone was just awesome. No easy escape (unless you had a druid or wizzy for evac), lots of options and places to go and plenty of challenge to figure out the nature of the zone. And I hope in the new expansion, Kaesora is just as thrilling! I fully expect many deaths, repeatedly....The challenge is what made it such an awesome zone.

I wasn't too keen on the outdoor zones on Kunark. They were mainly a large expanse of area to invis and run through to get to the real fun. But then again, I'm a dungeon crawler. Always preferred the dank closeness of dungeon walls to wide open spaces.
