Yea, a ton of things I'd like to see with ROK. However, I'm willing to sacrifice some lower level stuff since this will be a high level expansion. Plus, Kurns and the like would likely be unrecognizable due to the modern designs. Truth is, Kunark was enormous, no way they will ever match that expansion.

That said, I'd love to see more interesting geography appear in the EQ2 world. Where are the vast oceans you can swim around for hours in? Exploring islands, avoiding death, getting lost...(OOT, Timorous Deep) True, the light penalties of death and EQmap make new areas less intimidating, but I'd still love to see these returned. Not to mention the rock mazes like Highpass Hold and the Gorge of King Xorbb. Truly, with the quick travel of the bells (aka the dumbing down of the EQ franchise) There just aren't enough treacherous areas to run through in order to get from here to there these days. Heck, I can't think of any. Death has no meaning in EQ2.

Anyway...

The Field of Bone was a great newbie area. The reservoir was always my top leveling up spot. Great starting quests and a great community spot to meet friends and group. As was Lake of Ill Omen, the Overthere (to name a few). I wonder what became of Firiona Vie?

Anyway, I dont mind the level bump. Truth is, if SOE isn't growing, they're dieing. Expansions equal revenue. So, I don't mind if they bump the levels with every new expansion in order to keep more players. (Probably the smart move. Empty newbie zones are the standard now) EOF was great, but I lost most my friends with it. Alot of bored 70's left. I just wish they would slow down the game a tad. Bring back some boats, some exploration and some adventure. Heck, if they expand the levels by 10 with every expansion, fine, but make them very hard levels to earn.

Ok, I'm, blathering now. Can't wait.

I said elsewhere, but whatever Dungeon they make with KC, they HAVE to have something like the EQLive PoTactics "Piggy" event. Periodically (and somewhat randomly) a large number of mobs will race to the zone line. Be nice if they could have an NPC at the entrance who could raise a /shout when that is triggered to. (I'm sure everyone who has ever spent any time in EQLive's Karnor's Castle will know what that is replicating). As for the PoTactics Piggy event and how it relates. Basically there should be 1 mob in that train of mobs that runs a bit slower than the rest and can be safely picked out of the mob using various tactics and killed for some loot. (In EQLive's PoTactics, if you hunted near the boar pens, you would periodically see the 'running of the boars'; dozens of boars running a loop through the lower level, with a zonewide emote. There would be 1 little boar that you could usually see trailing behind by the time the train finishes the loop. Pick it out of the mob using snare/roots/FDpulls/suicidal mezzes, etc.... and you could then kill it for IIRC a ring and a chance for some spell runes.)
