Well, That's right mates, i'll prefer journey into 2 or 3 zones filled with red cons, instead of crossing grey mobs just because the Overthere is next to Timorous deep....... I'm kinda tired of thinking that if 13 zones are announced, half of these ( surely more !! see EoF !!) gonna be 20/30, 30/40, 40/50, 60/70 ranges, you want a new character ? Get your 20 pink piggy bottom on the thundering steppes / nektulos / BBM !! You need new leveling content for your sixth character ??.......ahem.. Entering a grey zone, spending enough time to unveil the fog of war on the map and never come in again, 1 hour max VS. months of developing....hurray ! There's already no risk at dying, so who would care about crossing zones, especially with pathetic blue/ green mobs that tends to have one unique ability >> slowing you ( loping plains festival, a true incoherent swarm of mobs and a myriad of stun, stun, str debuff, speed debuff, stun, stun ). C'mon where's the old fun ? Trying to avoid mobs to get safe to B from A / grouping with people to cross the zone / Making " staying spots " like the mill of Lake of ill omen / trying to stick to the borders of the map !!! - Player A ( have met Player B at zone in ) : " Did you make it in one piece ? " - Player B : " Nope i was killed by 2 furious badgers !! ( Burinais ? )" i know this may sound a little too nostalgic but dig a little deeper and you'll see one of the today's major EQII flaw, especially expansions with a new STARTING CITY !! over and over again. Was Kelethin not enough......and Neriak............and Timorous deep...and.... Now your opinion ! ( and sorry in advance for mispells etc, english isn't my native langage ) ----------------------------------- Shaleemsha Pandemonium ( Storms )

Well, RoK's level range is actually lvl 1-20 and 65-80. The Timorous Deep is the only grey zone you'll be running (or swimming, or sailing) through .

actualy from what I heard the only place you can "rez" in Kunarik is Timours deep, since they REALY want you to get that old EQ1 ROK feeling in spades.

JUST KIDDING!

Granted Kunark was the first time I ever loged out instead of doing a corps run.

The responding posters are correct from everything I have read--only one lowbie zone, everything else high level.

With any luck, you won't need to go to Timorous Deep to get to Kunark anyway--I didn't adventure much in Kunark in EQ1, were there any spires or druid rings there? Maybe something like that will be a shortcut for higher level players.

Yup back then Druids and Wizards could make some serious cash transporting people. And the nolstalgic memories of running that [Removed for Content] river from FV to LOIO zone (dammit what was that zone called?!) on my level 20 cleric was a nightmare if I aggro'd too many Drachnids.

Timorous Deep had wizard spires as well, but they were under water (Remember the underwater room beneath the spires that many of us went to - It had teleport pots beneath it to each starting city.) I believe there was a druid ring out there, too.. But it's been so long now.

My guess is you will see a "Bell" or Boat at TS and Nek docks that take you to the Entry Point for the High Lvl conent, wich will be an Armed Defencive position, likly along the lines of the Zek Dock. From there you will head out into the conenent (the 65+ area)of Kunrak. The Starting area is suposed to be a "Hidden Land" where the Uber Sarnaks grow up in an "idealic setting". So my guess is unless you move to that city or start there, the only time you will be visting it is to get the AA Disc Dings and maybe to run a few quests.

There were usable spires and rings in the Dreadlands and escape spells (fast cast ports) to Emerald Jungle and Skyfire. I think I remember a set of rings in Timorous, but I don't believe they were active.

But still when you'll hit 80, i'm pretty sure there won't be any white, yellow, orange, red mobs in regular zones, see KoS and EoF......... Nor really " brown brown red " mobs when you start exploring RoK at 70

Iksar Shamans never left that area, then they had one whole zone to go for Hill Giants at the Fort for another 10 levels. They could hit level 60 without ever going more then 4 zones.
