Since this kills yet more ranger utility by nerfing Amazing Shot, (anyone remember Surveillance pulling), any chance you can put something Decent in to balance this out for the Rangers?

will amazing shot still work if we are assisting a player who can see the target?

I think its to prevent people checking for named in a tight zone when they dont have a tracker. (runnyeye as an example) /target Named Mob would allow you to target thru walls when you actually never directly targeted the mob to begin with. As long as someone has the mob on target, you should be able to assist thru them. /assist should work still. So should ranger shots that dont use line-of-sight. I hope, lol.

What I want to know is with this change what the heck point does /target even have? It's only use was when it was completely impossible to click on or tab to a mob for whatever reason. And it nerfs rangers more, so awesome change, really.

nah the nerf is becuase of certon areas you can pull named mobs and not deal with hours of getting to the nameds, or avoiding some time sinks killing some raid mobs it was a matter of time grumble. has nothing to do with ranger. you can still run up to a mob target him run way back and then miracle shot him
