MP3's versus default EQ2 music?

In on of the live updates last year we were given the option to drag & drop MP3 files into our EQ2 files and have them play instead of the default music. Back then, I kinda gave up because my drag and drop routine failed to work in the game. So my first question is does anyone know what LU/GU that was? My second is can anyone tell me how to turn them on once I log in? Thank you in advance!

As I recall, you were able to make a custom_music folder, and drag and drop files into that folder.  You just had to make sure that your music files matched the game's music files--- you couldn't just have Vivaldi_Winter.mp3 and expect the game to know what to play. You had to rename it to permafrost.mp3, or whatever it was that the game file was named. Thank you !</p><p><b><span style="color: #ffcc00">*** Customize Your Music ***</span></b></p><p>- You can now customize your in-game music without moving or removing existing EverQuest II music.</p><p>- Create a folder called "custom_music" in the EverQuest II directory.</p><p> - Put MP3 files in the new "custom_music" folder and give them the same names as the MP3s in the "Music" directory.</p><p> - Music within the "custom_music" folder will be played instead of music in the "music" folder.</p><p><span style="color: #ff3300">- For example:</span></p><p>  - Put an MP3 of a song you like in the "custom_music" folder and name it "eq2theme.mp3".</p><p>  - Start EverQuest II, and you will notice that the MP3 file you just renamed will play instead of the default theme.</p>
