Questions about Unholy Steed size and riding animation

<p>Coming back after a long break, I summoned my Unholy Steed and 2 things came to mind.</p><p>1) Did they reduce the size of the mount at some point? To the best of my recollection my Halasian didn't make his mount look like a pony before (I recall it being large and intimidating), yet now he dwarfs it.</p><p>2) I noticed we still have that weird riding animation that when viewed from behind makes it look like he's doing something naughty to himself with both hands. Was there never enough player interest put forward to get rid of this?</p>

<p>Thanks for the link to the guide, too bad they couldn't have done what other games have done and simply scale the size of the mount to the size of the character riding it.</p><p>Seriously, as silly as my barbarian SK looks on his mount I can only imagine how goofy an ogre SK would look.</p>

ya ill admit the scaling is abit odd as its always been but otherwise the new models are superior imo

<p>Oddly enough they have rescaled them at least once since they put in the new mounts.</p><p>Some of them look right now with certain races riding them (dwarves on horses no longer look totally ridiculous for example  <img src="/smilies/97ada74b88049a6d50a6ed40898a03d7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />&nbsp<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but other races could use a bit more horse resizing work, the ghostly horses are probably the worst out there atm in need of this. I know my spirit steed still looks too small for my high elf. But my wood elf's horse (steppes pony I think it is, used to be grey but is now white) looks the right size.</p>

Maybe I'm just beating a dead horse (semi-pun intended), but I seriously have to wonder if a dev looked at a barbarian on an Unholy Steed and signed off that it looks fine or if no one ever even bothered to check each race on the new models.

I can't stand the sight of it and am hoping that getting a DoF horse (with armor) will make that look better. I completely agree with you on the spirit steed. Every time I pass by someone on the spirit horses, I kinda stare a bit. They look silly and sometimes I wonder what possessed the person to buy it. <p>Hehe Kade, the only dwarves I personally know and regularly see on horses have mistrunners, so armored mounts. The look WAY less silly than they used to. </p><p>Sadly I'd bought my spirit steed ages ago. I was terribly upset when they were changed to blue donkey's so promptly got 5 aa's spent into mystic SoW so I  could ditch the horse =(. Then they nerfed it so I'm back on my blue donkey /cry.</p><p>Looks better with a particle effect, but still too small.</p>
