Censored Words

What words are censored by the forum software?  I have the feeling that a certain meteorological phenomenon involving heavy fog or almost-rain is one of them.

M i s t is getting trounced by the german catcher because apparently its a bad word in German (manure etc).  Maybe just censor it on the German-specific boards? Its used in many places in English, and is getting censored quite often. agressiv

Indeed.  The word for not-quite rain is being replaced by a German phrase that means "I can't control myself".  Very annoying when you're looking for articles about green fog.

I'm fine with censoring the really heavy profanities that have no legitimate use other than showing anger, but the profanity filter consistently goes too far, removing words with non obscene uses and those of mild enough vulgarity that the game itself uses them freely.  With regards to the language issues, if the non-english forums cannot be given their own unique set of restricted words then crossovers should be treated the same as a dual use word, and left uncensored by the software.  That is not to say that people should be free to fling profanity with impunity if the software doesn't catch it.  People can already find ways around the censor, but doing so is a violation of the rules subject to disciplinary action by the mods.
