anyone else have dealings with this. It was the most awsome critter I have ever faced on norath. Let me describe it.

it is an epic encounter, with multiple moving parts, if will fill your screen, no single part could really harm me but the pin pricks eventually brought me down.

It scurries about like no other creature. Before I fell to its might I experinced its full wrath, I saw it heal itself, and stun and root me at will. It blasted me with cold and heat. It was truely the most devistating creature ever created by the devs.

Even more amazing it could summon other insects to do its bidding. During the fight I ignored those as they were even weaker then the other parts, still I mention it as a testiment to its awsome power.

But its most incredible ability was my inability to harm it until all its moving parts had surrounded me and struck first. The screen shook as the blow to the back of my toons head was hit, I tried to move but I saw it had encased me in roots. Still I unleased all the disease abilites I could muster and several of its parts stopped moving.

Beware my fellow norathians, a truely mighty creature lurks just within sight of our gates. I have to ask, what have we done to deserve such spite from the all mighty Devs. Have we not given of our time and money to honor these the creators of the online universe. What did we do wrong to deserve this fate.

I have seen this creature myself. I was, on an occassion or two, charmed by it and forced to attack red enemy players myself.

I have learned that on my high level characters.. level doesn't mean that much. I have helped enemy players learn this lesson as well. It's an important lesson.

Have you seen the new strain of this incredible beast? the Twincus Maximus version? A truelly Awe inspiring offshoot. Saw and was part of an encounter that resulted in 3 level 14's taking down a 20, 21, and 22. Beware the grey Twincus, a truelly deadly breed.

As side note I was foolish there were a number of times I could have escaped but I thought to myself just one more part, I can kill just one more part. I misjudged its might and paid the ultimate price. The repair bill. Still should I see the grey twincus I will go in the other direction. I have learned my lesson, I only hope my 40 steed is enough to outrun this mighty beast.

I faced 1 of those. They surounded my fury and I knew they were twinked but I also knew I was far more twinked in aa's. So of course I laughed at them and waited for the first fool to strike. The wizard was the couragious enough and he died with a trike of thunder then they were all on me. I dotted the hell out of the healer and blew her away then threw up my bramblecout so they were all taking dmg. Then I hit on my master 2 leaf spell and let it start ticking upwards for about 108. 1 by 1 they dropped until they started to run. So of course I snared em and started dropping em. Another grey came by as I was chasing em and helped me catch every last 1 to.

had it happen last night, full group half greens half grays. They kept reviving as soon as they would die and would re-enter the fight 30 seconds after they had died. They eventually brought me down.

I was attacked the other night by the t4 version of this monster, and at first I too laughed. Did they not know I was 40 levels higher? Imagine my surprise when there attacks pierced my defenses. I realized that I needed to take this seriously, and this is the only reason I lived. I kited every second I could, and they chased me for all they were worth. Luckily, a t4's safefall isn't quite up to mine, and I managed to lose this tenacious tarbaby at the nearest cliff. I was surprised to get fame off one though, heh. Serves 'em right.

Y'all are a bunch of nublettes. Armies upon armies of these grey zerglings come upon me in mass waves and I stand stead fast while griping my sword and shield and with one strike I take out their force.

t7 paladin owns gray raids. Use that one spell that removes all hostile effects and returns damage to the person who put it on him. It was one of the reasons why pallies were one of the best classes at killing brigands before the nerf.

boy this massive monster is the bane of a cloth-wearing fragile little freak suck as myself, as my casting gets interupted and my wet-tissue-paper armor lets every single blow come thru. these gery mobs are really bad a** when they wear plate and come around every 15 min or so.

Yeah I think if people are in a raid are brave enough to attack you and get faction and fame they should give up the same when they get [Removed for Content] pwnd.

SOE just did what all wanted. people didnt want level mean so much so they made it easier to kill much higher players. just stupid. a group of 30s should never take a lvl 70 down. at least not in a game where are levelcaps for PvP. its SOE-crap

Attempting to anaylze this beasts reproductive cycle, I crept up on its known breeding grounds. As everyone will tell you this protoplasmic swarm thrives near entrances to cities. Standing there observing it in its infancy, I noticed an alarming growth rate. Also this beast seems to be very teratorial as early in its formation it struck out at me in a spasmic reflex. Prepared for this, as any good scientist should be, I struck back and witnessed what I believe is the true reproductive cylce, This creature uses fission to double its mass. Retreating from the breeding grounds with the zerg in pursuit, I only had One thought - escape, so you can report this to your peers if they ever happen to stumble into a Grey Zerg breeding Nest.

we should get some sort of special 1shot attack like: grey-zerg desintigrator. if not there could be the day when lvl 70s are just a legend from times before the old. i dont want to be zerg-food

If there has to be level ranges it should work both ways, no more [Removed for Content] grey zergs.

Gildorath wrote:
If there has to be level ranges it should work both ways, no more [I cannot control my vocabulary] grey zergs.
MEh, just make level ranges dynamic. the more people you add, the higher your range will be. Full raid of t3s? Np, here comes 1 70 guard with 1 70 lock and nukes them all down into the ground. Would also cull the silly behavior of raiding up to take single groups or people down.
