I can't speak for Vox, but I can assure you that if it were on Nagafen that there's no shortage of red cons that will hunt you in every zone, and if you stay in the same zone very long, they'll be back as soon as you're off their recent list.

I have no earthly idea why SOE didn't implement the same level ranges for exiles as for FP's and Q's ... that's the one rule that makes exiling completely out of whack. It makes a lot of sense at level 70, and until then, it really makes no sense at all. People like Greenion who perservere have to suffer through numerous non-contest fights where they're the fish being shot in a barrel ... many times over. All of that just for the chance to fight someone within their level range. It's not right. I have the utmost respect for people who refuse to be disheartened by such unfair odds.

I'd love to be able to have an exile, but I'm just not willing to exile except on a level 70 toon. If Vox is anything like Nagafen, I'd say you'll dislike being an exile, especially at your level.

My friend and I decided to take one of our characters exile to see what it was all about... what a HOOT! We are both level 17, and the fun we have had so far is tantamount to obscene! Yes, you will get killed a lot as everybody wants to kill you. Although, why a level 25 up to 70 would bother to kill me, I have no idea. I only went exile about 3 days ago, but we are both loving it, it just gives us more targets, and pvp is the reason we are here, and now we are getting it big time All good. I have always said that I hate titles, but getting my hunter title as an exile, well, it actually feels like I have earnt it this time, hehe! Of course, it is a big decision to make, especially since I have ALL masters, so I'll be exile for a long time. Do it Killque, it'll be fun. Maybe your last name will have to be Sand'Freeps!

After exiling, should you ever decide to return to city life, upon completing the process your spells/combat arts will be reset to Apprentice 1 and you will lose all of your spells/combat arts above level 50.

Haven has the same features you will find in Freeport or Qeynos - bank, guild registrar, crafting stations, mender, merchants, etc. It does not have housing, however if you build your faction with any of the Maj'Dul courts up high enough, you can obtain a home there. It also doesn't have a merchant to purchase mounts from (at least it didn't last I knew) so if you want a mount best purchase a non-factional one before you betray (though as a dirge you likely won't need one anyway.)

You will lose access to your shared bank. Greenion could better answer if multiple Exile toons have a shared bank amongst themselves.

Haven has two entrances/exits - one to Nek forest that exits near the spires and one to Thundering Steppes that exits across the griffon fields from the TS/Ant back entrance.

In terms of access to goods, you will only have access to the "black market" broker in Haven at first and you'll have to buy goods at a high mark-up rate, and you will only be able to buy what's available. However, if you decide to do some of the city faction-building quests while exiled, you can raise your faction with Qeynos or Freeport to 50k and be able to enter the city of your choice without fear of being attacked by the guards, plus you can use their broker at the 20% markup (instead of 40%) and use their merchants. I know Gromann has his faction built up with Freeport so he can buy from there and have access to a larger market, so may want to consider doing that.

Hope that helps some.

Some more background:

I am currently level 43, locked and will stop completely at 44 (get a rez) and I have 46aa points. I have no issues attacking someone up to 10 levels higher than myself and do so solo all the time. I have every single spell 1-43 at Master 1 or better that is able to be. I am fully fabled out with fabled gear and only have 2 pvp gear pieces left, legs and a dual wield dagger I rarely use. Once I replace the legs, I will be completely ready for exile in that sense.

I will most likely be exiling with a rl friend, a 40 fury also locking at 44.

I would most likely join a guild that would take me in..

Reasons for wanting to exile:

More of a challenge More people to kill New experiences

If I did return to Freeport, would I really loose all of my masters? Or is that only when changing from say a Dirge to a Troub?

i belive your skills will all revert to apprentice 1s no matter what of the two bard classes you choose after joining either city from exile.

i think you will like being in exile though from what you are saying.

Yup, you will lose all of your spells upon the final step of entering either city from your exile status. Wierd, but you can be FP and Exile and keep all your masters, but the final step upon entering or re-entering a city resets all of your Masters. Personally, I think that's a bit of an unneccesary pain, but that's how it is. Whatever you do, make sure to keep your PvP gear. You will not be able to use it while Exiled, but when you return to Freeport (should you so choose) you can equip it again as soon as you become a citizen again, which is good.

Good luck with it.
