I'm brand new to PVP and really appreciate the helpful information many of you have posted here. It has been invaluable in helping me get started. Thanks also for advice on which healer I should go with... I picked Warden and she will be great for group healing.

Last night I got absolutely slaughtered for the first time (I know there'll be many more). But I'll never forget the first killing, it was hilarious... my little wimpy level 12 high elf was feeling a bit cocky and decided to have a wander around by herself. For some reason I started to feel this chill running down my spine. I looked up and there were four horsemen surrounding me. I could see the devilish enjoyment in their vicious eyes as they waited to see if I would run. I was terrified and my legs wouldn't move. Well, at least it was quick

Thanks again for the encouragement to try PVP as it always seemed a bit daunting to me.

I'm having fun. And have found the intense immersion again that I enjoyed so much in my 5 years of playing EQ pve which is kind of missing in EQII pve.

One piece of advise: Don't get caught up in the PvP title madness. People who get attached to their titles wind up running from most fights unless they have a 80% chance of winning. Not caring for your title will free you to have the most PvP fun and to do PvP for its own sake.

I understand, it's not cool to run from someone you may or may not win to, just because you'd lose fame/infamy. This isn't the type of situation I'm talking about though. I currently have Dreadnaught and don't feel I'm the sort of person who "hugs" my title, I will stay to engage anyone within my level range in a fight, up to about 3-4 players (when I'm solo). Now if I'm alone, I realize that they are punching through my heals like a knife through a plastic bag, why would I stay and fight it out? Is it fun to get crushed by other players? I mean fame/infamy loss or not, if I am going to die, or if I have 0% power left, why stick around? If I don't have enough power to sustain me through a fight, I won't be hanging around, I just don't feel that it's fun to die.

Amen. I get so sick of runners. It's one thing to run solo from a full group. But to run from a 1 on 1, sad. To run from a 1 on 1 fight that YOU started? Cowardly. IMHO, If I pick a fight with someone I think I can beat, and they trash me, they deserve the kill and faction. I'd rather die with honor then run like a little [I can control my vocabulary] to a zoneline, just so I won't get a death. PvP is about fun, not titles. Fact. Glad you're liking PvP. Tell your PvE friends how much fun it is...

I dont mind greens bolting for it, thats quite expected, yellow though?! [Removed for Content]? Not to mention full groups of white twinks evacing on my guilds t3 group. [Removed for Content]! That would have made a great fight. :'(
