Ok, new to the EQII PvP thing...have a question or two, since I can't find a link anywhere to explain the ruleset to me.

First, I understand that it is Qeynos Vs Freeport...and I am assuming Keletin Vs. Freeport also?

Second, let's say that you are a Human from freeport. How can you tell the difference from a Human from Qeynos? Or a Froglok that betrayed, if I'm a human from Freeport, I want to kill every frog I see...but how do I know if they betrayed and are now a fine upstanding member of the Freeport community? I understand that you won't be able to attack a member of the same alignment...but is there a way by just targeting them from a distance?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

the color con of their name above their head.

if it cons like a mob...ie : grey, green, dark blue, white, yellow, orange or red...then its an enemy PC.

if its pinkish purple (roleplaying), light blue, or bright green (fellow group member) then it is a friendly PC.

most likely.

the thing is an enemy name will have a con color and an ally's name will not.

relying on that red outline only will cause you to err in some situations.

All of the above, plus: Right after a login or zoning action every player gets 'Immunity' for about 30 seconds.

During that immune time the red outline won't show too (since attacks are not possible eitherway it ain't "aggro" to you). Remember this, when you do login next to a yellow named player . Use the time to start buffing, count blessings or check /pvp_range since some zones have a limited level who may attack you after that 30 secs immunity..

Oh, Venekor had a nice "are you in this screen" post once. It shows all the grey to red 'cons' and 'outlines' mentioned above.
