Hi all; Returning after a hiatus of about a year. In fact, I left with some 20 something characters when my friends decided they wanted to try something else. I have decided to start over with new characters. A couple of things:

I would really like to find a guild that has a large number of people who are levelling. When I was here last, it was tough to find a group let alone a guild. Am I doomed to be levelling up to 50 alone before I can play with people?

If such a guild exists what server are most new players or the largest populations?

What has sony done with the client? When I was last here, I struggled with FPS with a moderately good system. Now its as smooth as silk..even inside towns.

Hoping there is a large guild with low to average level characters left out there. I really dont want to do this alone. Thanks!

Our guild, Explorers of Legend, is quite large (over 150 unique accounts) and one of those no pressure, real life comes first, family friendly types We have events just about every night, from XP nights all the way up through raids... We play on Najena - a non-role play, non-pvp, and very well populated server - mostly USA primetime evenings, but there are always people on throughout the day.

We have a minimum level to join of 20 - basically because you can pretty much get yourself there in a weekend, even playing casually

If you care to check out Explorers of Legend, here is our website

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.as...mp;TabID=361648

You can usually find guilds advertising on their own server forums here when they're recruiting.

And about...I dunno...4 months ago maybe?...some changes were made in the rendering of objects that helped reduce lag, especially in towns.

depends on what server you wish to join and what your play style is

www.ancientguardians.com

(click on the EQ II link once there) is a family oriented guild. we have all ranges of players and are close nit and filled with alot of great people that have played together since the early days of EQ 1. Were friendly and I spend alot of my time (46 necro) mentoring those in the family that are much younger.

feel free to check us out and read our forums. Wer are on the Antonia Bayle server.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I'm now checking out the two websites posted. I guess I should discuss my play style.

Class unknown...doing the research now.

Guild style. Casual, helpful, grouping, mature teamplay. Most of all I would like to do instances with a steady, capable reliable group of people.

My situation. Adult father of 3 children ages 5 to 11. In some ways this affords me more time, because Im more homebound then if I wasn't married with many responsibilities.

Hello I've been looking around to find a good place to start as I'm a new player to the EQ2 world (completely new to EQ, however I have experience with many MMORPGs, leaving the sheer boredom that's called WoW.) While I'm still trying out a few things with a trial account, I'll have to see how it goes, but this game has peaked my interest greatly. Madelaine Mae, I'm hoping (should I continue playing this with an active account) that Explorers of Legend would accept me once I reach the required level 20 mark as your guild is exactly what I'm looking for. I have so much to learn, but look forward to it, now onto the pressing question... I'm the type of person that really enjoys grouping with folks and most importantly, providing the best in group abilities such as healing and buffing. So far, it's between a Fury and a Troubador, I need a little guidance. I've read there are problems with the endgame with Troubadors, but that class gets as close to Bards/Minstrels than any other class in the game (I'm a speedy and buffy fanatic that loves music! ). Many thanks in advance!
