When did the brokers get so greedy? 10% mark up is kinda steep well at least IMO.

From a wiki

Money-sink is a term used to denote a game mechanic that helps to control the inflation rate and in-game economy. Without various money-sinks, the developers would have no viable means of introducing money into, or removing excess coin from, the game's economy. This would eventually lead to a complete breakdown of the economic sub-systems. In a game like
, which is primarily driven by a player-created economy, this could have catastrophic effects.

This term is also used somewhat derogatorily by players to denote any in-game sub-system that might be what they consider exhorbitantly expensive, from a cost-effectiveness point of view. For instance, personal mounts are quite expensive. Some might call that game mechanic a money-sink. The same generally applies to player-housing in some form or fashion. In most games I've played, player-housing was so expensive that the average player could not afford it until later levels, no matter their actual need to have a central port for anchoring alts, entertaining friends, larger vaults, etc.

In general terms, think of anything on the luxury side of one's in-game life as a money-sink

I have a small gripe with broker commissions. Below a selling price of 5c commission is 100% - think of all those 1c items selling for 2c.

Brokers should be decent and not charge any commission at all until an item has a sell price of at least 5c where that 20% commission will actually be 20%.

If you're buying piles and piles of 1c raws and paying a 1c broker fee each, it would take 1000 stacks of raws to spend 10g in broker fees .

Anyone know what the story is with the broker only working for the most recent character you have logged in? That's the single-most annoying thing for me with the game as a whole.

I noticed that also. I sure hope that was not intended.
