I can no longer access these forums through my tradtional Fire Fox browser... All I get is a white screen and nothing else. Is there a way to fix this? I despise using Internet Explorer...

I also use Firefox (v2.0.0.1) and can browse and post with no real issues, certainly nothing like you are experiencing.  I've only got 2 add-ons, which are FlashGot and Tabbrowser Preferences - so if you have others you could try disabling them and see if anything changes. Two things that spring to mind though are: 1. Do you have Java and JavaScript enabled?  Under Tools --> Options --> Content.  If you don't then I'd suggest enabling them and seeing if that makes the difference (I disabled them and then went to EQ2 main webpage, which only displayed the headers and footers - all displayed correctly when re-enabled). 2. Is this on your home computer?  Just I remember seeing a post about the new forums being blocked by some company firewalls, so some people using the forums while at work have to actually work instead! Anyway, I don't think it is a general Firefox issue, so you need to do some digging to see what setting you have and try enabling/disabling etc. Good luck.

The entire site relies exclusively on Flash. I had a Flash blocker on Firefox as those Flash insurance and mortgage ads bug me no end. It was quite nice to simply click the button to allow the main site to load and then the forums would load. Unfortunately whatever the brains decided to do in the past 2 days disallow that simply ability any longer.  It was necessary to uninstall the Flash blocker to see the forums. This one site now, unfortunately, now ruins my entire browser experience. Blast the heck out of Adobe for enabling the marketing world to use Flash for everything. However the Flash ads are too irritating and I'll have to forego reading these forums to put the blocker back on. Cheers, GP

<b>If</b> the problem is Flash and Flash Blockers then, assuming no grand fix is coming in, you could try a Flash Blocker that allows overrides for trusted sites?  I haven't tried it, but I've heard NoScript is good.  If you are interested, it's downloadable from the Firefox addons area, but it might make more sense to Google for it and find the developers site so you can see if it suites your purpose(s) and, of course, make sure you get the latest version.

Here is the <a href="http://noscript.net/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">NoScript home page</a>. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
