Ok, after several hours of searching, probably all the wrong places, lol... I have not found the info that I am looking for.

a.) What are the status points needed to change the name of your inn/room/house? I have seen luxury apt, stronghold, etc. when they were just inn rooms.

b.) how does the status work in the rent? If I have 50k of status items in the apt does that mean its free if the rent/purchase is 50k sp plus some coin?

Thank you for any help/info you can provide.

Status doesn't change the name of where you live. Status helps you pay rent on some of the more expensive housing. When it says something other than Inn Room its because the person has moved out of the newbie towns somewhere in the city.

To answer your question regarding the names of the different housing: The names that you have listed reference the different upgrades to housing available.

Inn Room: The basic housing that all characters that have completed ther respective citizinship. A one room house that requires no Status Points and costs 5s per 7 days for upkeep.

Apartment: I believe a 2 room "house" that is available for an increased monetary cost and some status cost is required.

3-Room House: Again an upgraded house with increased monetary cost and a status cost requiement-possible Guild level requirement on this also.

Stronghold: High End housing consisting of generally 5 rooms with a high monetary and status cost for upkeep. I believe that this housing requires specific Guild level to receive access to.

Except for the Inn Room I believe all housing (except the Stronghold/5-room house) is available in Guilded and un-Guilded versions-the Guilded version requiring less money per week for upkeep. I apologize if this is incorrect, but I think the principal is sound. So there is actually a difference in the setup of each housing type including look, room #'s and cost.

There really is no need to answer your 2nd question as it seems that you understand Status and how it works, but to clarify: If your status requirement is 50K and you have 50K in status items to offset that, the only Status expense you will have is when you initially purchase the housing, after you get all of your status items placed in your house, there will be no more status cost per week-only $.

I hope this was helpful to you!

B. Rooms/apartments/houses have a purchase price and a weekly rental price. These might or might not include a status component. There is nothing you can do to reduce the purchase price; however, you can reduce the status part of your rent through furniture items (the gold portion is constant). For example, my house in South Qeynos costs something like 15g and 50,000 status per week. I have around 15,000 status points worth of furniture which means that I only need to come up with 15g and 35,000 points of status each week (which is just slightly more than one round of scaleborn sentries writs).

The most expensive 5 room house in Freeport is a Stronghold and the slightly less expensive 5 room is an Estate.

My Estate is in North Freeport overlooking the bay.
