Theres been a lot of chatter lately about travel, ports, boats, spires, Griffons...

While I like EQ2 Gampressures maps (although there choice of advertisers is questionable) there is no maps that really tie things together.

Does anyone have a map that ties all these things together ? Boat routes, Griffon Routes, Ports etc ??

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but a great ingame map can be found at http://maps.eq2interface.com/

Most of all that are maps by zones.

I would like to see a map that shows you available travel paths between (and within) zones.

What Im reminded of is the horse route maps of DAOC.

The EQ2Maps tool has a world map that shows the various methods of travel between the subcontinents of the Shattered Lands (i.e. carpets to SS from Nek, TS and BB; bell to Feerrott from TS; bell to Lavastorm from Nek; etc.). If you mean a zone-to-zone map for all the islands (i.e. TS connects to Antonica, Splitpaw, Cove of Decay, Zek, Feerrott, Mara, Nektulos, Everfrost, Obelisk of Lost Souls, etc.), then I've never seen one.

For last year's Fan Faire I created this Subway/Metro like map which sums up the travel 'connections' in EQ2. In short, Moors of Ykesha is the most efficient travel hub as everything is closeby.

http://eq2wire.com/files/norrathworldmap2010d.png

http://eq2wire.com/files/norrathworldmap2010d.pdf

I hope you like it. It has not been updated for Velious, but just add it off of Sinking Sands. And in a few weeks, it will be hooked up to the Spires and Druid Ring so I might as well wait until then.
