Has anyone heard anything on who the next round of available gods will be? Think we will be seeing Bertox and Erollsi?

Xegony's an elemental god. She's not up for worship.

Anyways, you can bet on Bertoxxulous, Terris Thule, Erollisi Marr, Rodcet Nife, Karana, and Bristlebane for sure.

I dont think they'll be releasing gods in groups of threes from now on though. 1 for each allignment, maybe two, but there's only about 5 evil gods left, and many many more neutrals and goods beyond that.

Unless they really want to stretch things out and go so far as to adding most of the unheard-of lesser and demi-gods like Vazaele Kalyne the Mad and Tholuxe Paells.

I'm hoping that we see four more Gods next round. E Marr(good), Karana and Bristlebane(Neutral) and Bert(Evil). That will balance 4 dieties for good, neutral and evil. Remember that each God has to have five blessings and five miracles, and I think it'll start to get pretty difficult to make sure each has a uniqueness to them.

Do we get to kill them yet?

Here's the way I could see it happening (or at least the way I would do it): Have future expansions add four new gods: one good, one evil, and two neutral. They don't need to keep neutrals equal with the other two, so this won't cause ay balance problems. I think that, at first, the devs are going to draw exclusively from the gods that could be chosen in EQlive, and when they run out of gods for a particular alignment, start drawing from the various lesser- and demi-gods. So, to start, they would add in these gods: good: Erollisi Marr Rodcet Nife neutral: Prexus Veeshan Karana Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane the Tribunal evil: Bertoxxulous After Bert's been added, they could start adding various demi-gods, like Vallon and Tallon, Terris Thule, and so on. The big problem, is that even if demi-gods are used, there's only enough to add gods for three expansions. The reason for this is that even though there are many neutral and evil demi-gods, there's only one good one. So the entire remaining good pantheon consists of: Erollisi Marr, Rodcet Nife, and Morell Thule.

I'm with TheSnooch .... BRISTLEBANE!

And ... do they really need to add in more gods every expansion? Frankly I think EQ1 has WAY too many demigods - its much too confusing. And as far as I'm aware most of those demigods aren't even worshipable (new word!). Then again, all of the demigods are subsets of a main god, so in essence you are worshipping a main deity anyway. Perhaps they'll develop demigods for each god and you can then choose a demigod and get different abilities based on the particular portfolio of that demigod. But that gets even more confusing.

And why, particularly, could one not worship an elemental power? And yes I know you couldn't worship them in EQ1, but it could make sense, especially for conjurors as they summon elementals. Perhaps each elemental deity would increase the abilities of the pet that corresponds to them?

On a side note, isn't Prexus the elemental god of water? Or was he just the god of the ocean? I mean, I vaguely remember killing the Avatar of Water and there was the Triumvirate which had Tarew Marr and two others whose names I cannot recall. But then, I've mentally blocked most of my time in the Plane of Water. Being a cleric there was hell.

Ele~
