I need a few hints and tips in the splitpaw saga. Right now it seems unduly long and tedious.

I did the quest to get access to the upper tunnels. The Upper tunnels took forever to go through -- several hours in fact. Is there anyway to go through them quicker especially as you have to go through them each time you go to the den.

I started my first quest from the Den - Flitch's Prank -- and I Have been going for over 1 hours now. And apparently it will reset if you leave the zone. That sucks -- as it is taking way too long. You have to basically kill ever [Removed for Content] mob,

ANy hints to shorten these quests would be appreciated -- I don't have the time to spend hours on one quest -- I need them in small pieces.

Going through the upper tunnels the 'right' way only takes about 15 mins. Although the zone can be soloed, it's a whole lot easier to do it with more. I think I remember hitting heriocs in that zone. If you do, then you went the wrong way. There's a lot of wall blow ups and invis can help get the explosives without killing anything. Once you get the route down you won't have to take much time getting to the den.

The rest of the quest can be looked up on ogaming and such if you don't want to spend the time learning them. I basically did Harclaves and the Arena Champ which are exclusively solo and somewhat tricky.

Do Harclaves and Arena Champ have those miserable crates in them?

Ogaming (allkhazam) did not have a map walkthrough for Fitches which was the one the weakened crates caused me to fail -- on the 10th supply crate no less. I soloed the upper tunnels with a 43 SK -- I used invis in a few places though. Not sure if I will go back though

In order to gain favor (and get shard to travel back quickly) you need to do any 3 of the various quests in the zone.

Flitch's Prank 2. Harclave 3. Arena Champion. I read this on an old post from Gallenite. None of the other quest would work. Are you saying other quests will work too.

Why do I want favor other than for the shard? Do they sell anything I want? If not I will just move on and do something less tedious.

To qualify, the three quests must be ones given by the various gnolls in the den - not those picked up on the way in from various interactive items (such as the bones from the upper tunnel that need to be placed in the coffin in the den)

If you are soloing - Harclave, the solo arena and Filtches(?) are about all you can do, but that is enough. They each have different lockouts as well - arena is 4 hours, the others longer than that - can't remember

Once you have the three completed, you get a shard that allows you to teleport into the den from anywhere in Norrath - zoning out of the den allows you to go straight to TS - so the shard is effectivley a free gate to TS. You also can talk to the repair gnoll in the den - and when you do you will notice he has buy and sell tabs as well as repair. Select the buy and you can get a new spell for each base class type - fighters get a taunt, mages a nuke, priests a heal and scouts - cant remember - might be a debuff/backstab. You also get access to some more heroic and raid zones.

My SK at 47 got a taunt that said lvl 20 - but it is equal to my other taunts an has a different timer - so 4 taunts now rather than three.

Note - the arena and Filtches were easy - finding the walls that could be blown up and avoiding the decaying crates was the "hard" part - but note if you damage all the crates you can use the barrells to climb on as well.

Harclaves was relatively easy for my SK - but i wonder how you might go with a class than can't withstand mobs of 6 -8 bashing on you simultaneously.

I've been wondering, does Splitpaw provide decent AA the first time through? I almost forgot about it on an alt, but since all of the quests are repeatable, I'm wondering if you'd get any AA there at all. The quests/zones themself are still fun anyway, but I'm curious about the AA return.
