So I was out in the commonlands today on my lvl27 bruiser PvP'ing and helping some guild members with quests when some of our Q neighbors came to play.... now they were all grey to me but all were around lvl20-22 which isnt that big of a jump really...... they decided to attack even though I myself was 27 and the other bruiser in the group was 25.... they killed the other bruiser and were unable to really take me down due to my deflection n whatnot..... so what happens when they are going to lose their infamy? They start zipping around like a bouncy ball.... 5 of them did this! one just started sprinting away.... I can deal with the sprinting cause they ARE going to run out of power or zone or do something lame but it isnt cheating. The bouncy ball kids though? Come ON!! what is wrong with this situation?

Why is there no fix to these kinds of problems? I might as well be able to in combat evac if these kinds of things are going on STILL!

Sorry about the foaming but seriously..... its rediculous.

The way to fix it would be to lock people into a tight sphere of movement if they stop sending network traffic, or something of the like. They would still warp, but not very far. Another way would be to just stop people dead in their tracks on your end when they start to show erratic network behavior, so you just pound em down while they nethack., Both ways would, however, impair normal play.

There are alot of warpers on both teams it is very sad. You will hear the BS talk about it just being lag...funny how there is no lag untill they start losing the fight *LAG* /warp *LAG* /warp OH DARN he got away at the last minture...ummm ya.

they can never ban or fix the issue because the issue can be created without even using any kind of 3rd party programs. Switch lag on and off easy as pie and sadly the gayest thing about eq2's pvp.

Sigh.... The worst part about it I suppose is it just adds to the GIANT arsenal of running away from losing a pvp fight you initiated lol......

But whadya do eh?

I have played pvp on EQ from day one and quit in disgust right before the zek merge because I could not take the warping and cheating in general. Now, we find the same in EQ2. I do not understand much about programming, and it seems to me that it is, indeed, a difficult problem to fix. Yet, I have played other MMORPGS with pvp (COH/CoV, WoW, L2, DAOC, just to name a few...) and I have to keep wondering... why is it such a problem just here?

I mean, sure warping happened in WoW. I saw people warp. I saw them get banned. There are no more warpers - literarly, I have not seen one in months. I am not sure how the other games I mention handle it - but they do somehow. Which leads back to...

if everyone else can fix it, why can't SOE? What am I missing here?
