We quest for these items and then when we cant or dont want to use them anymore we have 2 options .. hang them in our houses .. or sell them to a vendor.I prefer to keep my items in my house but it would be really nice to have some status reduction or something on them .. other wise its just added crap to the house that has no value. If this is something that has been brought up recently and I just missed the topic im sorry, i tend to read here alot and havent seen it in a while and figured it was worth a conversation.

None.

This issue was addressed in the game well over a year ago. Your reward for heritage quests are status points for which you can pay off your rent, not rent status reduction. It's a fair trade-off.

Message Edited by Cusashorn on 03-31-200611:11 AM

I have never really understood this position.

On the one hand you have the argument that Yes, you are earning Status Points by doing the HQ's, the items are worth a hefty chunk of coin to a vendor (minus the stien), some have rare graphics.

On the other hand you have the fact that your Status Points earned for Writs go right back into paying for items you have "unlocked" or your guild has "unlocked" and some of those items have Status Reduction on them. Of 'course usually by the time you have unlocked the items you have invested way more time and energy than it took to complete a single HQ . which is why I still *boggle* over them adding in the cost of status points to purchase all items .. some I could see but others ? *sigh* .. .

Then on a completely different but similar branch of logic there is the L&L "Rewards" which, with the exception of the books (now), have no status reduction plus they take up item count and earn you nothing but exp and/or fustration ...

I have always maintained that they should remove the [item count] from the HQ's and L&L items if they weren't going to even attach a token status reduction. While of course it is up to the person decorating their house of what they want to display in their house .. it shouldn't be a choice of removing those hard earned items merely to make way for more of those silly bear rugs ... :smileysad:

Of course .. this is why I have a whole account dedicated to alt housing .. lol .. I just can't bear to delete items :smileyvery-happy:

I do agree that trophies shouldn't count as items. I've completed every legend and lore in the game, and that's over 20 trophies on my wall.

I'm dang proud of every last one of them too.
