<div></div><div>Someone bought a Pristine Ebony Arcylia Bench from me and then asked if they could return it because it looked like crap. (haha Returns?...where does he think he is, Walmarts?) Ok, its not the coolest looking item but I wouldn't call it crap.</div><div> </div><div>So, in talking to the guy, come to find out he doesn't have the KoS expansion. I asked him to take a couple shots of my workshop (where I have a lot of the KoS furniture setup) and email them to me. I was amazed but not surprised when I saw them. Here are his Non-KOS shots next to my screenshot.</div><div><img src="http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/7185/1compare2re.jpg"></div><div> </div><div><img src="http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/251/2compare7oj.jpg"></div><div> </div><div><img src="http://img305.imageshack.us/img305/9333/3compare7eg.jpg"></div><div> </div><div>I don't blame him. I wouldn't want it if it looked like that either. I've talked to other non-KOS owners and they report it looks the same for them.</div><div> </div><div>Here is a list of messed up graphics:</div><div>- Ebony Warlock's Bookcase- Ebony Wizard's Bookcase- Acrylia Bench- Acrylia Desk- Azurite Entwined Sculpture- Azurite Tall Entwined Sculpture- Azurite Rotating Sculpture  (locks non-kos users)- Azurite Tall Rotating Sculpture (locks non-kos users)- Scrimshaw Dragon Sculpture- Scrimshaw Ritual Sculpture- Horned Leather Rug</div><div> </div><div>Also, as I mentioned in another post, if you have the rotating sculptures placed in your room, non-KOS owners will lock (go LD) zoning into your room and they will stay locked until you zone out and the room is empty.</div><div> </div><div>PS: I did return his 2p for the Acrylia Bench and told him thank you for shopping at JL-Mart <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div><p>Just as a thought but did you ask him or anyone else you talked to to do a full file scan?  </p><p>And, make sure if their optional downloads were clicked?</p><p>Even though they didn't buy KoS they "should" have downloaded a bunch of "common art files" .....</p><p>All my accounts have KoS so I can't do much of a "help test" with this  /shrug</p>

<font color="#E2BD01">The same thing happened when DoF came out. Anyone without DoF couldn't see certain pieces of furniture right, like the urns.</font>

Thank you for posting this Jonluke. I'll be sure to ask people if they have the expansion before selling them those items.Oh! And lol about people who want to return furniture. I've had this happen to me before as well (someone randomly baught some tables and chairs off the broker and was upset that they didn't match) The REALLY funny part was that some of the items he wanted to return wheren't even mine!<div></div>

Thanks very much for posting these pics.  Now I'll know what NOT to buy until I get KOS.  I got a "dragon bust" for turning in the dragon insignias collection, but since I don't yet have KOS, I cannot see it at all.  I wouldn't even know it was there if not for its being listed in the house contents.  This also happened with DOF items, such as the tarnished d'jinn lamp.  So, I guess this is just one more way to "encourage" people to buy the expansions.   <span>:smileytongue:</span><div></div>

<div>Ah, good suggestion Kaisha. I'm sure someone in my guild doesn't have it yet. I'll have them try a full scan with optional content sellected.</div>

<div></div><font color="#ffff00">We'll take a look into this and see what's going on with it.  They should look the same if you have KoS or you don't.  We export the files so that anyone should be able to see them normaly.</font>

<div></div>Yup, exact same thing happened to me when DoF came out... rushed out and bought the new stuff for my home before I had purchased the expansion and had black voids where the tent and market basket were supposed to be.  Soon as I bought the expansion, they were fixed.

<div></div><div>We've found the issue and are already workin' on a fix. Hopefully it will go down with the next patch, but if not, it will absolutely go down with the one after.</div><div> </div><div>In the interim, consider the b0rked files 'limited editions' <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> yeah... that's the ticket!</div><p>I'll post again when I know which patch the fixes will be a part of.</p>

Sweet!   Limited editions!  If it's limited it has to be better!<div></div>

<div></div>Thanks for the update!  Since a couple of these were booting folks from rooms, as opposed to just looking funky, it'll be nice to have them behaving again.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div>Thanks for looking into this.</div><div> </div><div>The problem with the locking is worse than just getting booted out of persons room. If someone is in the room selling and a rotating sculptures is displayed, the non-KoS owners that try to zone in will go link dead and not be able to use their character until the person selling zones out and the room instance closes.</div><div> </div><div>I got mail from about 10 people the first day I displayed them in my trader's room telling me they couldnt pull up their character and GMs were unable to help them. Some were <strong>very</strong> upset. One was a guild leader that said "I" kept him from attending their guild raid that night. (/sigh)</div><div> </div><div>The problem items seem to be:</div><div> </div><div>-  <font color="#ffffff"><font face="Verdana"><font size="2">Azurite Rotating Sculptures and </font></font></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff"><font face="Verdana"><font size="2">- Azurite Tall Rotating Sculptures</font></font></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff"><font face="Verdana"><font size="2"></font></font></font> </div><div><font size="2" face="Verdana">I stopped displaying and selling these until the problem is fixed. </font></div><div><font size="2" face="Verdana"></font> </div><div><font size="2" face="Verdana">Hope this helps. </font></div><div> </div><div><font size="2" face="Verdana"></font> </div><div><p><span></span> </p></div>

Ah heck, I'm stuck now too!  Tried to zone into someone's house to buy something -- should have been more cautious since he was selling the "dangerous" stuff -- and I get to "loading entity resources - 100%" and that's it, I'm stuck.  I've tried using the task manager to shut down the program and try again, but the same thing happens.  So I guess this character cannot be played until this person leaves their room. And WHEN is this problem going to be fixed?  This particular problem really needs to be fixed right away, it is BEYOND ANNOYING!<div></div>

<div>Good to know I didn't know that myself. But for the record I always allow people to return furniture if they are not sattisfied and didn't like them in their home. I even do this with custom crafted orders because i have rares on hand anyway and can resell the items. This has earned me alot of great customers that are very happy and return more often aswell as reccommend me to others. If you buy a furniture piece from me rare or common and do not like it, I will always allow you to trade it in or get your full money back.</div>

You're right, Borto, that doesn't fix things all around, but TG they did something to stop people from getting stuck at the load screen like that!  Not being able to see certain pieces of furniture is a much smaller issue, IMO, 'tho I will be very happy when that is fixed, too.  And i imagine people with rotating sculptures will be pleased when they start rotating again.  <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

<div></div>The entwined azurite sculptures are fixed now anyway - I had given one to a friend who is interested in furniture, initially he only saw the wire-frame model however.  But yesterday he sent me an excited tell saying he can see it now.  So, they are getting there!
