<div></div>awesome house, nice work

<div></div><div>Most impressive. Only thing that struck me (and this is coming from a musician) is in the picture with the instruments, the harp could be turned 180 degrees. (When playing a harp, the short strings are closest to the shoulder. The curve at that location is to make the instrument more comfortable to play.)</div><div> </div><div>Again, though....Fantastic job!!!</div>

01-31-2006, 08:04 AM
<div></div><div>I'm super jealous.  I wish you could transfer money between servers . . . . I'd pay you to make a char on my server and make my house all pretty.  =P  I wanna know how you did the fireplace, that was awesome.  You really did a great job!!</div>

<div></div><p>Stunning!  I particularly love the fireplace and hot tub!  Very well done, you have  a lovely place!</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<div></div><p>Thanks everyone for all your compliments....i'm stunned at the reaction my decorating is getting. :smileysurprised:</p><p>In response to some curiosity about the fireplace...it is composed of 2 Ornate Curved Counters, 1 Ornate Corner Counter, 36 Teak Bookcases, 13 Standard Ash Bookcases, and 5 Spellbinder's Ebon Sconces.  It's embellished with 2 Feysteel Sconces, 1 Rough Linen Portrait, and miscellaneous Heritage Quest Items (which are on the sides near the middle, so they are not really noticeable in the screenshots).  All that, plus lots of time, and many miscellaneous tables to stand on (i'm a short little wood elf :smileytongue: ).</p><p>Unfortunately, the Ornate Curved Counter and Ornate Corner Counter are no longer available  :smileysad: </p><p>I'm really happy everyone is enjoying our home so much....I had a wonderful time doing it  :smileyhappy:</p><p> </p>

02-02-2006, 07:03 PM
<div></div><p>That fireplace is the most impressive large one I've seen yet.</p><p>And the way you did the bar in the upstairs is the best use of that big ole space I've seen yet. I may hafta steal the bar thing if I ever get a 5-roomer to decorate <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div></div><p>Yeah, what a Grand feeling that fireplace must gives your visitor when they enter your house. That and the bar upstairs are my fav! Very cool!</p><p> </p><p> </p>

Syina:Please let me know if you decide to take some of these folks up on their offers to have you decorate for them... I swear I'll go into hiding <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I keep seeing /tell's of "Hiya Corgi.... ummm, I need another teak bookcase and 3 more ash stools if you have a spare moment" in my sleep!Seriously though, you deserve all the accolades you're getting from this post--you have a skill rivaled by none.  The screen shots of your place are great, but they don't nearly tell the whole story.  I wished I'd taken a screen capture of you actually building the fireplace... to see you stack 15 tables and chairs on top of each other--and jump up them!--just to place a single bookcase into the fireplace and then have to start all over again was a truly astounding sight to behold.Carpentering is my favorite craft, even though it is the least profitable (I detest grinding boxes all day long)... but when I can see the fruits of my labor going into such beautiful works of art... makes all the grinding worthwhile. Thanks for letting me be a little part of this beautiful creation,Corgi<div></div>

<div></div><div>*speechless* </div><div> </div><div>The amount of work that went into the fireplace alone is staggering.</div><div> </div><div>Now:  How the heck did you do the hot tub?</div><div> </div><div>And as someone pointed out, your harp is backwards.  Shortest (highest) strings go against the shoulder.  (Harp players, unite!)</div>

<div></div><p>impressive</p><p>The beste house i've seen!</p><p> </p><p>I have to thank you fo giving me some new motivation fpr my own carpenter and some inspiration for decorating my own house.</p><p>What i am wondering is how did you made the hottub?? Especially how did you get it filled with water?</p>

02-10-2006, 10:23 AM
<div></div>Very nice home.  I don't know if either of you are checking this thread anymore, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to share how you made the tub?  That just stuck out to me in particular.  Thank you.

02-12-2006, 10:00 AM
<div></div><p>In response to alot of questions about the hottub....  :smileytongue:</p><p>I made the frame using 7 Freeport Wooden Counters (which, incidentally, are still for sale in freeport).  The 3 across the back and the 2 on the sides are sunk half-way into the wall so that the ledges arent overwhelming.  The water is 72 (no, that's not a mis-type  :smileywink: ) Standard Ash Stools.  They are a tier 3 crafted item.  I just put them close enuf together so that you cant see the legs (had to overlap the edges slightly).  Very basic supplies, just alot of them and a bunch of time :smileyvery-happy:</p><p>Also, for all of you harp players out there....I've turned the harp around to make it eazier on the musicians during our parties  :smileyhappy:</p><p>Thank you again for all your complements....I'm overwhelmed every time I look at this site.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

02-12-2006, 10:23 AM
<div>Love the hottub.. also the bar in the top room, very nice <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I wish my house had windows <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Closest the freeport estate gets is a small area that's missing a roof.</div>

<div></div><div>Congratulations Syina on your decoration and to Transam for earning that much money!</div><div> </div><div>I confess to being obsessed with decorating and have visited pretty much every house on  my server to have a sneaky peek and trawl the decorators forums often.  Having decorated a modest 20 -odd homes on my server I have been rendered speechless by your home. It is way above the best I have seen.  Thank you for sharing!</div><div> </div><div>/crawls back into my hole feeling well and truly humbled! :smileywink:</div>

<div></div><div>The sad part is... With all the new and amazing furniture being added to the game soon (T6 rare + T7 rare/common) the house will be undergoing a complete redesign soon!</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>I am very happy with the freedom this game allows... It takes me back to my UO days of decorating my castle lol</div>
