Free Character transfer for low population servers please?

I decided i would like to play on a server with more people but the prices for the transfer seem extream.  Anyone else agree that we should be givin the chance to change server for free. or atleast a much cheaper rate? there prices dont seem right.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I made a new character on the Lucan server and i am excited to see that the game isn't dead. i sure would like to bring my main over.  Anyone agree? I could see where going from a high population to a low one should be credited and free. But going from a low pop server like Neriak to Lucan would only take more away from the low population servers- and Sony does not want that.

It will never happen.  They want to KEEP you on the low pop server and try to bump up it's numbers.  More likely they will start offering a /movelog here soon off of AB onto some of the lowest pop servers.  I fully expect to see that by February or March.  My guess is they are holding off on it in hopes of the Christmas holiday bumping them up a bit.

how about a free switch for high populated servers? or how about a free switch for people that have like 33% of the entire server as thier class.. it'll never happen so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] <div></div>

$50 isn't unreasonable when you're paying like 1/4 of that per month to play.  You shouldn't be able to just up and change servers on a whim, there should be a cost.  And I feel pretty safe in saying there probably always will be.  Letting people bail from a high population server to a low will just result in the high population server turning into a third world as well.  It won't help anything in the long run.  If you want to move, you gotsta pay.  Trust me, if you're that unhappy on your current server, it will probably all seem worth it once you move.

<P>Indeed, the rampant server moving that would occur with a lower price (or free) would be a nightmare for them.  The point is to try to force people to stay put unless the absolutely want to move.  It provide a continuity within the population of a server.</P> <P>That being said, the influx of people to AB has been insane.  I agree there will likely be a free movelog OFF at some point.  It would be nice if they restrict that though to some of the medium pop servers, maybe bolster a few of their numbers up to the high area that only about 3-4 servers currently have.</P> <P>If they did offer a movelog off say 1-2 of the lowest lowest pop servers, it would only be limited to a few medium pop ones you could move to.  We will NEVER see an open movelog to any set of servers without paying.  It would cause rampant imbalances between the servers, even moreso than there are now.</P>

I heard there was free char transfer for AB (high load) .... maybe this is dragged up from to long ago?
