<DIV>OK - I may have missed something somewhere but I just realized last night that items with a LORE tag are not allowed in the shared bank.  I just spent a few days of what little play time I have completeing several Lore & Legengs quests.  When I was done, I had a load of extra parts (20 or so pieces of various types) that I had been saving for vendage.  Last night I finally started digging through my bank to put my stuff in order for sale.  When I was trading items around to get them all in one or two vendor boxes I keep in the bank, I had to do some interesting suffling to get things done because I could not put any of the LORE drops in the shared bank portion where I had the most space.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>IMHO, The only items that should NOT be allowed in the shared bank are ones with the NO-TRADE tag on them.  All others should be fair game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rondari <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Rondari on <span class=date_text>03-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:08 AM</span>

<FONT size=2></FONT> <DIV>I absolutely agree, but for now you can always mail them to your alts (*grins*)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In fact, one thing I worry about (with the 2 -> 30 day retention change) is that some nefarious folk may use the Norrathian Express service as an unlimited bank account.  Not sure that it's a huge problem, given how many steps it takes to mail things, but... something to keep an eye on.</DIV>

Personally I don't get why the lore and legend items are lore though, they are pretty much the same thing as as the ? collectables.</DIV>

I also must strongly agree that Lore items should be allowed in shared slots.  I see no point in them NOT being allowed to be placed there.. <div></div>

<P>actually, you cannot mail LORE items either.</P> <P>i believe it is this way so that we can't get multiple LORE items on our characters</P> <P>if a LORE item could be placed in the shared bank, then it has to be double-checked with regular inventory as well as regular bank whenever it is going to be moved out of the shared bank. just more room for "exploits". but yah..</P>

"if a LORE item could be placed in the shared bank, then it has to be double-checked with regular inventory as well as regular bank whenever it is going to be moved out of the shared bank. just more room for "exploits". but yah.."  ~yaen They didn't seem to have a big problem with lore items in shared bank for EQ1.  The only "exploit" I could see was that if you had 8 characters, you could have 9 lore items (1 for each character and 1 extra in your shared bank).  I would have thought they'd remove the feature if it were a problem, but it was still there when I stopped playing EQ1 in November. ~gemic <div></div>

<DIV>There is still a restriction on storing LORE items in Shared Bank spots.  Now you can't even mail LORE items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I REALLY think this should be reviewed.  If I can hand an item to another player, I should be able to pass it through a shared bank or mail it to another person.  This policy make no sense.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rondari</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>It seems stupid, and therefore probably not intentional, that you can trade or sell LORE items to other players -- I routinely have some on the broker, and I've handed some off to other players as well as been given them -- but not mail them or put them in the shared bank.  They're still shareable, and the mail/shared bank problem at present merely creates an inconvenience rather than stopping them being traded.</P> <P>And here's something else interesting: You can have multiples of a single lore item in your house vault, even though you are forbidden from carrying more than one at a time on your person (which is highly inconvenient when you're killing mobs on a language quest and don't have the time to stop and "Examine" after every drop).  I had three skeleton arms for sale at once this week, which startled me.</P>

<P>I agree with Yaen that it was probably implemented to keep multiple lore items out of the hands of one character (probably was an easy way to deal with the problem).</P> <P>It's been this way though as long as I can remember (being a person with a merchant toon).</P>
