<DIV>Well since Fridays patch, damage has been added to Horse Whistles.  But just like Heritages it will require me to rob the Qeynos Bank to fix my whistle.  Elddaren Whistle costs 21 gp 68 sp to mend at condition 60.  I am quite certain this must be a bug just like heritages were.  Please fix before you push this to Live.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If its not a bug, then you need to reconsider this change.  Condition 60 costing 22 gp is an insane amount of money to pay for a whistle repair.  Considering the average endgame raid you will die multiple times, one good raid weekend could cost you 1-2 pp in horse repairs.  So unless Permafrost mobs start dropping 2 pp cash loots like Fine Steel Weapons, this needs fixing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Gherig McComas</DIV><p>Message Edited by Aethn on <span class=date_text>03-13-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:56 PM</span>

<DIV>Seems Horse Repair costs are based on Horse purchase costs, like every other item. If you don't want to pay to upkeep your horse, you have a nice stablehand to sell it back to... Jus tlike if you don't want to pay to repair that uber armor, you drop it for cheaper armor...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I support this change as-is, myself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Think of it this way: The more expensive something is, the more complex it probably is. The more complex something is, the harder it is to fix it.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>Simple - yet painful extra steps - workaround.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Equip whistle - summon mount - un-equip whistle.   Been doing this since v1760 went in Friday night, after I saw the huge repair costs.  Now I can die horribly over and over (as bards often do) and the whistle stays at 100%.</FONT></DIV>
