View Full Version : Sell back prices not consistant (bug)

<DIV>If I make several stacks of arrows, chems, whatever, they do not all sell back at the same price at the NPC vendor.  To reproduce this bug, simply go make 10 stacks of arrows, and then go sell them at the broker.  Some will have higher sale prices than the others.  I would say you could do the same thing with chems, but it is a good opportunity to demonstrate how much making arrows sucks and why we should be able to use turned lumber instead of staves to make arrows <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(hint, hint, hint)</DIV>

I believe this is because the cost price of all components to make the item is calculated and stored on the item itself. This means for example that if you make pristine washes with the price of all the components used being X, each of the washes will use X/4 as the cost for the base-components. However if with the same base components only manage to make shaped washes (yielding 2 instead of 4 washes at pristine), the cost for the base-components is X/2. So the shaped washes will sell for more than the pristine ones. Obviously if you use these different washes to make other (otherwise identical) items, this difference in price carries over so those items while being identical to the eye will actually have different sell-back prices.Hope this helps a bit
