I like that I can now create tabbed windows. I ran into something interesting today.I normally run three windows on this character. One for chat text, one for other stuff, and one for /test chat. Today I took my default Chat window and dragged it over top of chat three. Chat three was smaller than Chat, however Chat immediately became a tab and I had a tabbed window. Chat did not go away, however. It because a floating chat window named "Tab 10" and it won't go away. I close it and some things cause it to reappear. Sometimes it simply that that was appearing in multiple windows. Since that was always, by default, my text entry window, when I typed / to enter text, the Tab 10 window would reappear. I moved that function to my Chat 2 window to solve that one. But there are still things that will show up and make that window reappear. Now I can probably uncheck everything in that window's options next time it appears, then close it. However, doing that seems to imply it will still exist, jsut with no options going to it and no visibility.Since the default chat window does seem to be of some importance to the client, perhaps any attempt to move it to a tabbed chat window, should instead move the underlying window/tabbed window to it, thereby eliminating this quirk. In a different vein, and regarding chat windows and UIs in general there's an oddity that's bothered me since beta with the chat windows. Why is the scroll bar on the left side?In all of the mass market gui's, and most of the gnu market gui's, the scroll bar is on the right side of the window. Look at all the software you use and you see the scroll bar is on the right side. It's what everyone is used to and in terms of gui design it also makes sense in the way people use WIMP interfaces. (Window Icon Mouse Pointer, noobs. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ). Any gui should be as invisible and as intuitive to the end user as possible. You want people to play the game, not think about how to use the gui. And yet by placing the scroll bar on the left side the UI is acting counterintuitively.Since the chat window is being revisited to make Tabs, wouldn't it make sense to move the scroll bar to the right at the same time, so that everyone can use both what they've been used to using for years and what works best ergonomically?Odds are you're right handed. Do you sit your drink down at nine o'clock during dinner?

It appear that a newly created chat window will have a single tab, named Chat. That tab will default to the same chat settings as your first window, which is also called Chat. Those settings do not change, but always seem to revert to the same settings as the first window.
