It has been stated many times that class specific gear will remain in your inventory, you just won't be able to equip it. It doesn't mater if it's relic gear or common drop loot. This is a penalty you have to pay if you are betraying.<div></div>

i think having all spells app1 iss penalty enough. Relic iss a "life essence" and should be given back

<DIV>I don't think relic should be useable after betrayl, since its a drop. However, I would like to see Hoolooh hat be changed since its quest reward...</DIV><p>Message Edited by Geero on <span class=date_text>06-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:56 AM</span>

<div><blockquote><hr>KillerDackel wrote:<div></div>i think having all spells app1 iss penalty enough. If you're choosing to become another class at level 70, there should be harsh penalties.</div>

<P>It has been said that your class specific gear will be unequipped and put in your inventory since you cannot wear it anymore if you betray and change class.</P> <P>So if you become an SK and have Pal relic...you will lose it.</P>

<DIV>Has there been any mention regarding quest rewards, like the signature quest for the hooluk hat? I agree that any gear obtained that can be re-obtained, should be, but quest gear that you cannot ever do again, becuase it is not a repeatable quest, should have a trade in program or something similar. Just wondering if anyone, that knows something, could post. Not looking for someone's opinion on whether you should be able to or not, since those posts are everywhere, I'm looking for fact or comment from dev. thanks</DIV>

Just be happy your not losing all your gear man. As someone said in the post already...There HAS to be a penalty for switching classes. If your worried about your Hooloh hat or relic armor maybe betraying isnt meant for you =P<div></div>

I wonder if some of hte quest rewards are determined before you pick up the quest, or before you turn it in. I bet there are some people out there waiting to turn in their Hat quest after they betray. Will they be dissapointed when they get a class helm for the class they used to be?

<DIV>Why on earth would your equipment change completely. Forgive me if I sound insulting, but this request does not even seem reasonable. If you betray you change your class completely. You now need new spells, new weopons, and new armor. If you do not want to do this, then do not betray. If you like your relic armor that badly, then stay a paladin. If you are willing to start over and get new armor, then betray if that is what makes you happy. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My feelings have nothing to do with the fact that betrayal should be challanging or hard or have consquences. I feel this way because you quit one class and started another. Life is full of choices and each choice has costs and benefits. You need to choose based on knowing what these are.</DIV>

From a roleplay perspective a Paladin should not be using evil armor. From another roleplay perspective Nagafens Armorer is really good, maybe he can remake it from the components (since they used the same subcomponents gem/mold). <div></div>

This was already commented on. You will have to get a new relic drop if you want to get relic armor made after you betray to another class. There is no breaking down high quality armor and recreating "new" high quality armor out of the same pieces. This is just not possible from a roleplay perspective. Sure it's possible to break it down and create new armor, but this new armor will be nowhere near as high quality as the old armor, thus the obvious reason for not allowing it.

<DIV>WORK around possible i havent treid it yet but someone on test who betrayed and had a class w a new helm graphic which cna be traded in for the new helms. GO try to see if u cna trade in a previous class helm and recieve the new graphic helm.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This in theory should work but only for zerkers, guards , templars and dirges</DIV><p>Message Edited by Gungo on <span class=date_text>06-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:24 AM</span>
