View Full Version : After LU24, Glimmering tooth and HQ?

I searched for this and didn't see any posts that addressed my question.Since extracts are going away on LU 24, will the Glimmering Tooth be going away also? If so, what will happen to 'Stiletto's Orders Intercepted' HQ?Thanks

In tier 7 you still need a scintillating item to imbue something. I guess this will be the same in lower tiers.

Yep I would think you will just use the harvested item to create imbued items like T7
Thanks very much for the info.

The imbue components are still harvested from all the same places they used to be. Now no alchemist is required to make an extract out of them. Instead the recipe just calls for the pristine non-imbued item and the raw imbue component. You also get the imbued recipes in the advanced tradeskills books at the appropriate level instead of only getting the imbue recipe at the 9 level. Example: Imbued bone buckler recipe is inthe advanced craftsman volume 10 recipe book.

Extract? I don't recall this needing an extract. When I did it a few weeks ago, I just needed the Tooth in the recipe.

I'm really confused...I have an alchemist and a jeweler....so, how do we imbue items if extracts are being taken out of the equasion? What do i do w/ all the extracts in my bank waiting to be used? (will they just disappear from my bank after LU24? or am I pretty much screwed)? Didn't they just bring extracts into the game not too long ago? Why are they taking it out and what do I do now to imbue something. Please clarify and explain...(if it was already posted and i missed it, pls forgive me...and point me in the direction where I can retrieve this info. ty). ps. sorry for all the questions, bu this is the first I'm hearing of this and I'm completely baffled about the whole thing.

Knorah, just like the changes to t1 and t2 if you have the sub component you will be able to use those up

so for an imbued vanguard curaiss , instead of using the raw glowing/sparkling/glimmer etc you can subtitute in your extract and will work

same for bars etc i have 3 strong boxes of refined velium, carbonite, feysteel, etc for making imbued rings

wether you can use a wort instead of a root i am not sure though (save a fortune and make as many WORTS as possible if you can)

The new imbue recipe looks like this:

Pristine Crafted Imbuable Thingy

enough common raws to make the Pristine thingy again

a raw Imbuing item

buncha fuel

Old extracts (and other refines and builds) will substitute for as long as they last.

Thank you Izvar and Calthine. I appreciate your taking the time to explain. Just so I have this correct: I won't need extract to imbue an item (say I want to make a pristine imbued opal ring of AGI) - I won't need the extract, just more raw materials?

Not only will you not need the extract, but the extract recipe itself wil cease to exist. Any extracts floating around from before the revamp will substitute, however.

This thread isn't about 'imbueing', it's about the 'glimmering tooth' requirement of Stilletto's Orders. Will it be changed to 'glimmering material'?On Live right now these teeth can go for 1.5pp or more because of the special requirement.Good question haven't seen any answer, and don't have stilletto's on my test character, YET!

Since the glimmering items will still continue to drop as normal, I don't see why the quest should need to change.
