View Full Version : How do you obtain the new Master II's?

Yeah,  my most useful spells are gone.   I'm a 31 Fury and without something else, I'm pretty thwacked.   Down to one semi-useful DD instead of two pretty good ones. I lost Darmen's Booming Clap and Dyleenas Aching Chill.  Now I have just strike of thunder. This is a big problem as far as my damage output until this is rectified. -Mal

Are those 50s getting it via /respec or does the glowing plus sign just appear upon login? It tells me I cannot respec at this time using /respec. -Mal

I just logged onto test and it looks like some classes got their new spells and some didn't. (As of 8/27) <div></div>

<P>I read the patch notes and when I logged in I wasn't surprised to see one of my spells gone (level 20 'zerker at that point) but I *was* surprised that there wasn't any way to choose something new in it's place (or a replacement there, I looked in my knowledge book and didn't see anything that caught my eye as new).  At 20, it's going to be a long time before I get to pick my new one, and I don't really want to use /respec (if that can be used).  </P> <P>Are lower level Master IIs maybe not in the game yet?  </P> <P>Would be nice to get them! well it seems toons that hit the level after the patch to get their skill is working ok.  Problem seems limited to going back and getting the ones you have passed already. <div></div>

Anyway, that's not the same thing as the priests getting their every 10 level spell choices for being masters reset... and having no way to do them over.</span><div></div>

I'd just like to clarify. I'm a 32 Fury. At 20, I got a non upgradable spell, Dyleenas Aching chill which was a significant bump from the level 12 spell Chill. At 30, I got a non upgradable spell, Darmen's Booming clap which was a significant upgrade to Strike of thunder that I got at level 24. Both were my most damaging DD spells.  And doing a HO with Clap(boy that comes out wrong, doh, did it again) and Aching Chill does 150 to 300+ more damage than Thunder and Chill combo.  So I'm back to using a 24+12 VS a 30+20 spell.  Since HO damage scales up with the level of spell, not only is normal damage down, the HO damage is down. I just dinged 32(I was very close when this change hit and finished off some easy quests) and got Starburst so that's helped, but that spell really sucks the power.
