Not all the time, but sometimes.Does clicking on the waypoint option in the quest work to create the trail to your shard for you?Shazz

<DIV>No it doesnt <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> all of us have tried that already! <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  its the same bug as 2 weeks ago <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But that doesnt make it different as its very annoying...especially for new players it can be game braking...as they die frequently and dont wanna be busy to get rid of the debt XP instead of having fun!  As you cant find your shard you get 25-30% XP debt per time you die!  Thats an awefull lot!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2 weeks ago (when the bug was general) I couldnt find my spirit shard in a very dangerous area...and it costed me another death that brought my XP debt to 72% !! .....took me quite some hours boring grinding to get rid of all the debt!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If SOE seems to have fun in punishing us soooo hard with a crazy amount of debt XP for not finding our shard back...then at least they have to make sure that shard recovery quest is working! <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by guillero on <span class=date_text>01-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:57 PM</span>

<DIV>Wisp trails have always been flaky, and if they are bugged again for shard recovery, they certainly need to be fixed. Nothing I'm about to say is meant to get SOE or the developers off the hook on making the game work like it's supposed to.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However...calling it game-breaking is a bit of an overstatement. If you are in a dangerous place or risky situation, don't rely on the wisp! Know where you are at all times, hit the map if you are about to die, look where you are before you revive, there are lots of ways to make sure it doesn't matter if the wisp works or not. When they fix it, it's a great convenience, but in the meanwhile, exercise a little caution and don't depend on a game mechanic that has had known problems.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maybe I'm a bit old-school and too used to EQ1, where remembering where you died was one of the most important early habits you could develop. It doesn't seem to me this should be a big deal. Fix it if it's broke, by all means...but it won't matter to my gameplay if they don't. I alwyas make sure I know where I am when about to die, and I work pretty hard at making sure I die in a place I can recover as well. I just don't risk myself in the middle of aggro mobs, or under the water.</DIV>

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It appears to be an intermittent issue (sometimes the wisp will draw automatically, sometimes not).

Also, if you complete any other quest, your shard trail will appear. I know not a great work around, but it was something I noticed.

<DIV><STRONG>Thank you Blackguard <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Hope you peeps can solve it soon <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The zones wich have maps....there you can focus on your last location and find your way back...true!</DIV> <DIV>But there are many zones without map! Thats another story and sometimes impossible to retreive it back as you have a big chance getting killed before recovering it <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>greetz</DIV>
