<DIV>Why did this get locked? you can't allow your player base to talk about a patch that has been in testing now for what seems like ever?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Observer to comment on your reply in that thread for us to all go TEST it for them..........</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please I pay $20.00 or so a month now to not have to test THEIR money making game for them, how about the people who apparently fixed all the problems such as the dev's go test it themselves since they are getting paid by SOE?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyhow yes it would be nice to see some sort of update from a 2 week old post reguarding this big patch</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

It's not so much that they don't want to update. It's just that there isn't much to tell us about, because it's apparent, especially if you played on Test, that they didn't do much testing over the holidays.

<DIV>I would suggest it got locked because the poster was rude, beliggerant and deserved to be locked.  But that's just me.</DIV>

It was locked for a couple reasons... In part, it was beecause of what Grunthex pointed out. Also, this forum is for Tester Feedback, not random demands or complaints. The patch (most of it, anyway) is already on Test, so it makes no sense to have a thread demanding that we give the patch to the Tester community when it is already here.

<DIV>People who normally post the "We want the patch now" threads are also the same people who post the "Role it back" threads the next day <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>What makes you think anything has changed from the early January estimate given last month? I think They have until the 15th before they're out of "early January", and even then, cut them some slack. Making sure the patch is fully functional is better than rushing it out barely functional.</DIV>

<DIV>understood black however  I would think it is pretty obvious that he means on live servers not to the test server</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I agree however December 22 is pretty much 3 weeks ago as far as any update regarding this under a forum topic specifically for it</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Especially when yesterday content changed on the patch</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just think for 95% of the EQ community would like to see some sort of update on this somewhere - God knows I would love to be able to finish so many quests I currently cannot on the live servers and being almost 50 is getting quite boring not being able to do so, turned off my XP so many times not to out level some of these quests and problems completing heritages due to it =(</DIV> <P>Message Edited by Akacia on <SPAN class=date_text>01-05-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>10:33 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Akacia on <span class=date_text>01-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:34 AM</span>

<DIV>I'm sorry, but it really isn't that hard to figure out what is the right forum to post things in. And it really isn't that hard to be civil.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lock 'em.</DIV>

In the meantime we are outleveling all the "fixes". More than likely these quests I have been patiently hanging onto for 20+ levels will end in nothing, but time lost and our limited journal space used. How about we roll the patch in pieces? If 90/100 updates are on test and working, start trickling 10 quest fixes a day, or even a week to Live. Patience we have, that's not the issue. The issue is the unforgiving code, Did you code for this?"If devs quest = Broken, then pause infinite for reward""Else delete"No, our patience will be rewarded by having our quest givers ignore us due to our level, and surpassing the new content for lvl 20's as we push into our 30's while we wait.Put a fix in pls, so far we got increased group mob dmg output. This is a fix? Thanks! /sarcasm<p>Message Edited by Durama on <span class=date_text>01-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:01 PM</span>

<DIV>Anyone that has played on Test for more than a few minutes would realize that this patch isn't ready for live, unless you want all the bugs with it. Also, they already posted week(s?) ago about the status of this patch and most of the devs have been on vacation. Test has not recieved an updated patch since this one was put on the server originally. So yes it has been tested, but no, none of the fixes for those issues have been patched yet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Once again, rolling ALL of these changes into one big, buggy, much delayed patch was a bad idea.Don't do it again.Small, responsive patches please.

<DIV>wow Kwoung that sounds encouraging =/</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks for some information at least</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And really why did all these fixes have to be put in one large patch? I agree smaller patches please</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
