<DIV>I seriously doubt a game patch will help stuttering.</DIV>

<DIV>I have yet to see them say they are truly working on it, just that they know it exists *chuckle*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but i would have to assume they are doing something about it, considering their big "commitment" (ROFL!!!) with nividia and that it is the preferred(and worest) card to play with eq2!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes i own a BFG 6800GT.. and no i am not gona get a ATI.. just i find it kinda funny how little has been said about progress.. or ANYTHING on it, just a reply here saying "oh yeah.. it seems like there IS something going on!"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

To add a comment since my first comment was not taken well... </FONT></DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>The reason I said it in the first place was because its not a problem on the game side at all. Not everyone with 6800 gt's or 6800's in general are experiencing this problem. I assume its a multitude of problems from...    peoples pc's overheating, overclocked systems(too overclocked), drivers incompatible with some cards/mothebroards manufactuers, and I could go on. Sorry I wasn't more specific but I still stand my ground stating that I doubt a game patch could fix the issue. That being said, ITS CHRISTMAS! Stick to facts please. You have made assumptions about overclocked pc's, overheating, incompatible drivers etc. There IS an issue, but neither SoE or nVidea understand it and SoE are looking into it. There was a recent post from one of their technical team asking for owners of affected 6800's who live near their HQ to contact him.... This post here <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=tech_support&message.id=10070" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=tech_support&message.id=10070</A> will enlighten you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The test server is where you would have to test any changes affecting graphics to ensure it didn't have an adverse affect on other pc setups. This is common practice, although not all MMO's advertise who their test server community are and treat it more as an ongoing beta test.</DIV>

<DIV>Hello all, I'm running a PNY 6800GT 256 meg DDR3 1000mhz on a AMD64 3400+ with 1.25g RAM</DIV> <DIV>Im not sure about this "shuttering" effect you guys are having, the game runs well for me. I am running on max quality without shadows or bumpy points. Everything else is maxed out. I upgraded from a eVGA 5900se. I noticed a moderate performance boost which allowed me to turn some details up a bit without hindering my performance (which is pretty much fluid motion except in crowded areas where it then bogs down slightly).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also play consistently on the test server with no problems at all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Perhaps BFG continues to uphold thier name as "most poorly constructed video cards"</DIV> <DIV>Perhaps its EQ2 or nvidia</DIV> <DIV>At any rate, I'm curious as to where this problem/topic will go.</DIV>

Just FYI, there *was* a post made on nVidia's board, by an nVidia employee, stating that they were very aware of the problem and that they were working on it.Personally I returned my nVidia, bought an ATI, and have never, for an instant, regretted that decision. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
