<DIV>I am not on test server, but i read something i need to comment :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><EM>- Increased brawler Deflection to provide the equivalent of always having a buckler equipped.<BR>- Increased monk and bruiser Deflection to provide the equivalent of always having a round shield equipped.</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV>Okay nice, does this mean brawler now have the benefit of wearing a sheild without the need to actually wear one, and so they gain the defense bonus without loosing offense ? Hurray for the brawlers, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can guardian get the same bonus now ? :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I think they get the base block bonus of a round shield, but not the other benefits of a shield, namely general mitigation.  So a monk will block decently well even when dual wielding, but still won't block as well as a tower shield using guardian and won't have anywhere near the total damage mitigation.  I think it's a good change as it will help monks/bruisers fill their role as tanks (I know, I know... lots of people still don't realize that brawlers are a tank class just like guardians, zerks, pallies and SKs).</DIV>

<DIV>I think guardians have quite enough tanking potential already <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good change for bruisers, looks like we are being taken down the line of ' you cant kill what you cant hit' - which is exactly why I am playing one</DIV>

<blockquote><hr>ValarMelkor wrote:<DIV>Ok its seems fair</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV> if being a guardian does make a sense in this game :smileywink:</DIV><hr></blockquote>what?I dont know what you are trying to say, but the way i see it, Guardians are the best tanks so far, so dont start even say stuff like that, if you are a guardian then you should know this. I have played both, and guardians are by far better then monks, and i do hope that with this patch this will finally get fixed.br

<DIV>Folks are taking this out of context. Monks in general are just looking for a bit of parity. We're not looking to replace any class's role. All we are saying is that so many times Moorgard has stated that Monks, being part of the fighter class, are tanks. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So far, this hasn't been the case. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This inclusion of the block ability is a proper adjustment. Guardians shouldn't be feeling out of sorts. After all, you guys are using far more powerful shields then this ability is giving. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is not a "slap in teh face" of guardians or any other fighter subclass.</DIV>
