Oh very nice!! I especially liked the SK scenes - very poignant. I especially liked the shot of him looking into the mirror, then geared up, then looking down. Huge sucker for SK's and you picked the perfect soundtrack. My only (very subjective) constructive suggestion is not major, but would be perhaps a change in music for the credits? It may just be me, but it doesn't seem to quit flow with the haunted/inner struggle theme of the main piece. I dug through mp3s and found one tune that didn't work at all , but! it had a heartbeat going in the background - and the heartbeat was kind of neat. There's also song by Witchcraft called Cathedral that might work well (obscure though). One of the side benefits I'm really loving about the EQ2 videos - I'm finding all kinds of new music to buy recently. Loved that Stain'd track.

DL'd the larger version and rewatched (made my husband come see ), couple things to add: The fight scenes for the SK - particularily the DE shot and the knees - awesome. The reflections in the water were a great touch!! I think some people have a knack for bringing an idea to life, and life to characters/story - I think this is what you've done very well here.

In the end we decided to let his story be the highlight.

And so glad you caught the reflections!! We thought at first it might be too hard to see and easily missed, but figured that it would be fun to have a piece or two in the movie that was not obviously apparent on a first or even second viewing. I love watching these kinds of movies more than once, discovering something new each time

The end credits music.. I agree, not the best choice. I was in danger of losing Gerund to sleep and had to find a song fast! lol

~Luna

I figure as the "poor hubby", I should probably respond to the gracious feedback we have received concerning our video. Thank you everyone for your rather positive feedback! While Lunara is quite the task master, we both really enjoyed making this video. We have ideas for several more, although at this point, I'm not sure which one will solidify into a finished movie first. The "music video" format, to me anyway, is fairly straight forward. The musicians have already created the story and we, as movie makers, have only to make it appear on the screen. Perhaps we will lean toward another one of those before breaking out with a story of our own to tell.:smileyhappy:Another interesting thing about this one is that the only money spent beyond EQ2 subscription was the $37 it cost to register FRAPS (www.fraps.com) We used Windows Movie Maker (free with Windows XP) to put it all together. The couple of stills we used were manipulated with Roxio Photosuite 5, which was also a free download from www.roxio.com. Just thought it was interesting that using inexpensive (read: free) software doesn't mean you can't make a quality movie.Lastly, if you really enjoyed the movie, tell your friends about it. We made it with the hopes that a lot of people would watch and enjoy it!:smileyvery-happy:Thanks again,GerundPS.If you have trouble with any of the links in the original post, here is yet another location to download from:"Within" Video (hosted by www.filefront.com)

Message Edited by FatherThyme on 07-03-2006 10:25 PM

I like your movie poster too. Before I was gonna release Must be dreaming I asked suite if she could make a poster for it but she ignored me /cry!!

Astounding! The perfect song for the perfect story. The griffon flight shots were excellent. The picture breaking scene was awesome. The mirror scenes (fading and the SK looking down) were flawless. I love it! Now the "constructive critisism". His SK armor was distracting. I don't picture "the devil" wearing that. haha.If I were you I'd hit the broker for any cheap armor that matches his helmet. But seriously guys, this was an AMAZING video. You'll make more or suffer. :smileyvery-happy:

Thanks Scarn We took a weekend to work on it exclusively. We had actually started out recording the scenes with the two of them together first, but I wasn't happy with any of it, so we trashed about 4 hours of work there, and decided to start from the middle instead. We drew up a story board for it the next morning, and spent about 10 hours capturing video and completing/editing the shadowknight scenes. And on the following day we recorded her video and footage of the two of them together, about 8 hours on that day. Happy you liked it
