<DIV>I was wondering, for assassins, what is the most costly out of arrows, food/drink, and poisons at later levels? I'm trying to decide a tradeskill and, not being a twink, trying to choose one that would cut my leveling costs as much as possible. Thanks! :smileyhappy:</DIV>

With the cut throat prov market on my server (your server may vary) T7 food/drink is cheaper than any other tier, so much so, that it's not worth buying any other tier.  Potions/poisons aren't all that expensive, but it's nice to be able to pick and choose what you want on an I-need-it-now basis and not having what you want on the broker (I've never not been able to find any food/drink on the broker).  Arrows can be expesnive depending on what you do (pvp or raid you'll use a decent amount, but no where near as many as rangers), although usually store bought will get you by.  I'd have to wait and see on what the crafting changes bring for the arrows before I chose WW specifically for arrows. It really can be a toss up on what to choose if you're looking strictly at consumables.  But then again, I have my own alchy so I might be a bit bias.<div></div>

<DIV>I tend to spend the most on arrows. I have pretty much stopped using food and drink altogether, I tend to group pretty much all the time so do not require food to heal (have priests in the group to do that for me) and the stat increases are not all that great when I am close to the cap on str and agi any way. The power regen from drink is nice but I tend to use the power transfer poison (Exceptional Mental something) which keeps me at full power pretty much all of the time. I tend to go through poisons like they are going out of fashion but have an alchy frien who makes them for cost price (5gp a stack of 20). So that only leaves arrows which I burn through on raids.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kaediin</DIV> <DIV>70 Assassin</DIV> <DIV>Splitpaw</DIV>

<P>I might be biased since my alt is a 70 Alchemist, but that is definatly my choice for a tradeskiller...  Market prices for poisons is always jacked up pretty high, not only that, but you can rarely ever find exactly what your looking for....  I like being able to just go and whip up what I need in a few mins, than to scour the broker in hopes that what I want will be there...</P> <P>Another thing, you should talk to a woodworker before going that route to make your own arrows, as most of them would tell you that they would much rather pull out thier fingernails than have to craft arrows...</P> <P> </P> <P>Gwern - 70 Assassin  /  Nilla - 70 Alchemist</P>

<DIV>Arrows are not cheap - that is a fact.   Also, considering that there is a great improvement in auto-attack damage by using appropriately leveled arrows, it pays in the long run to use the best arrows you can take advantage of. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That being said, level 60+ adamantine arrows are something like 6s EACH.    Some combat arts shoot 2-3 at a time, and it quickly becomes a huge money sink to buy arrows.   I carry a 18-stack (augmented leather quiver) bag full of indium arrows, that costs me somewhere in the neighborhood of 63 gold to refill.   Even I won't spring for the adamantine arrows, they're almost double the cost but only a small percentage more damage than Tier 6 arrows. </DIV>
