<div>Needing to know if evade effects hate transfer</div><div> </div><div>Like....would it be better hate for the tank for me to do as much dps as i can, while using evades -- or take it easy on dps, still doing good dps - but enough caution to not use evades</div><div> </div><div>same could be thought of a paladin amending a rogue, cause they have taunts and stuff</div><div> </div><div>any info is good</div>

<div></div><div>Yes. All deaggro skills effect hate transfer.</div><div> </div><div>Think of it this way if you have 100,000 hate and you have a 29% hate transfer to tank that means he gets 29,000 of your hate and you have 71,000.</div><div> </div><div>Now if you evade once for 2000 you will have 98,000 hate and the tank will get 28,420 of your hate and you will have 69,580.</div><div> </div><div>So I would recommend doing as much damage w/o pulling aggro. If your tank can't hold evade more and/or do less damage.</div>

What i think though, should be:i got 10,000 aggro, and i tranfer 2900 aggro to tankwhen i do evade, i have 10,000 - 1400 (evade adept 3). Tank will still have 2900 aggro from me because those hate i already transferrED to him alreadyso final it will be 8600 aggro on me, 2900 aggro on tank

<div></div>Ahlspiess is wrong. There is no way Evade "de-transfers" hate from the tank.think of it proceedurally.I do 10k hate, transfer 2900 leaving me with 7100Later I evade for 1000, reducing me to 6100...At this point there is no way Evade "takes back" 290 hate from the tank!!!here's my proof, aggro something without doing damage. (which gains yourself a tiny amount of hate being the "aggroer"<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />then evade....where does the mob run? TO THE TANK. Why? read on.<blockquote>Because you now have negative hate, post-evade,but prior to evade you gave the tank some of the inital aggro hate.if evade "took" hate from the tank, then the mob in this case would ALWAYS run to anyone but the tank,BUT the mob ALWAYS runs to the tank, thereby proving that Evade doesn't take back aggro from the tank.</blockquote><div></div><p>Message Edited by Griffonage on <span class="date_text">03-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:28 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>I never thought about aggro being transfered as its being recieved. You may be right. I don't think the above example will work though becuase the mob has an initial amount of hate to the group already due to your faction standing to it thats why it's hostile to you. Let's say it has 10,000 hate to everyone. Depending on your faction. Now if you detaunt on the pull the tank will have more aggro then everyone regardless because of MD.</div><div> </div><div>There are two very interesting viewpoints. Is hate being actively transfered to the mob or is it being transfered as you gain it? If it's the latter then then yes detaunts won't effect Murderous Design and if its the former then detaunts effect it. </div><div> </div><div>I think the best way to find out is to stop attacking a mob midway into a fight then take Murderous Design off and see if aggro is pulled. If you are actively sending your hate then you should gain the mobs attention immediately and if 29% of your incoming hate is sent to the tank already then you should never pull aggro.</div><div> </div><div>Unfortunately, I'm at work so I can't find out at the moment. However, tomorrow when I find some victims... errr group members I'll find out. (Also make sure you don't have a dirge, coercer or swash in the group they increase or send there aggro to the mob respectively skewng the results of our experiment)</div><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Ahlspiess on <span class="date_text">03-30-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:17 AM</span></p>
