J boots

<div>Are they even used later on in the game? I would imagine on a pvp server them being very usefull. Anyone want to post here on how they feel about their boots and if they feel they are worth it? Ebay still sells keys to get them on your character. Can a crafter make something better ?</div>

<div></div><p>If memory serves, the JBoots you got from the pre-order of the original boxed game give you a 10% run speed boost while the JBoots from the Heritage Quest give you stats as well as a 16% run speed boost. So there are actually two different versions of the JBoots. If I'm wrong about the run speed boost rates, I am certain that the free ones have no stats while the HQ version do have stats.</p><p>Now, stats aside, if you want them only for the run speed bonus, there are horses available for purchase as well as the quested flying carpet in Sinking Sands. Horse speed rates vary by purchase price, the carpet gives you a 40% speed bonus.</p><p>The JBoots are pretty optional at this point and are pretty much obsolete if you have money for a horse or can do the carpet quest. On the other hand, the price is right (free) if you do the HQ. The HQ involved nothing more than running circles around various zones within a specified time limit.</p>

<div></div>The jboots are substandard for their level but most people don't do the hq for the sweet loot, just the experience. I still remember the first time I tackled this one, it was a blast. Plus the discovery xp is fantastic.

Think I got about 40% xp for turn-in at lvl 37 so the heritage is WELL worth doing and as a scout VERY soloable <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>Quested Jboots only have 10% run speed, but I still use em at level 70.  A horse is nice (and I do have one), but in most dungeons, you can't be on a mount, and they can come on handy.
