<div>Both seem to have very nice effects, but I'm mainly concerned about PvP. Will the M2 version of numbing strike really root an even con player 9 seconds? Or will slice throat M2 really stifle for 4 seconds with very little chance of resistance? i.e. what kind of resists (type/number) would people need to avoid being caught by it?</div>Edit: I went with numbing strike, very nice amount of upfront damage +root means I finally own swashies cause they can't get near me for nine seconds. :smiley veryhappy:<p>Message Edited by SpryYoungElf on <span class="date_text">03-21-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:35 AM</span></p>

<div></div>You are always going to have that nice up front damage with the P-Strike. It is what I went with, but that was for the PvE world. I cannot see the P-Strike acting the way you describe in PvP. Think stealth attk..(not sure if PvP ranged is good due to caster roots)... Pstrike-round-mask-stealth attk(stifle master 1 perhaps)-debuff-debuff-cheapshot-mask-death for whoever..If your stuns lasted that long it would be imbalancing me thinks.

<div>Slice throat is a 4 second stifle for PvP (8 pve); numbing strike is a 9 sec root for PvP (12 pve).</div>

Interesting. For pvp I would have gone with the stifle. Shorter duration, but useful against all classes. Plus, even if someone can't get to you, we need to be in melee to do our damage anyway. Although a root would keep someone from running away too I guess.<div></div>

<div>It keeps em still so I can get close enough to stifle. Before I got numbing strike, I was pretty much only using the rear ranged attacks in PvP cause <em>everyone </em>runs.</div>
