Armor Question

<div>Hello all im pretty new to the game and i was wondering what the "best" (generic term) armor would be for a level 50 assassin. Are there advantages to wearing cloth over chain? Im not quite sure why anyone would buy level 50 cloth when they are able to wear chain unless there is some advantage to it i dont see. any help is appreciated. thanks.</div>

I haven't gotten to lvl 50 yet. But the primary difference between leather (not cloth) and Chain is Avoidance vs. Mitigation. The leather will allow you to avoid more hits (tho that % is pretty small), and may have slightly better stats than chain. But the mitigation on chain is much higher, allowing you to absorb more damage.I opt for chain, simply because I solo, and occasionally (or always) need to be able to take some hits. Plus it looks much cooler IMO <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />That being said, the best Chain armor you can get (not including raid dropped/ fabled which I have no idea about) will be player made Cobalt. The best leather armor will be the Scaled stuff. Both are very nice, and are frankly better than the gear that the crafters make in T7...which is too bad. So this stuff will last you a good while.
