<DIV>Hi guys!</DIV> <DIV>A simple question...</DIV> <DIV>Are these weapons working with str achievement ability Bladed Opening?</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.eq2guru.com/content/items/pristine-imbued-feysteel-sabre-id4175.php" target=_blank>http://www.eq2guru.com/content/items/pristine-imbued-feysteel-sabre-id4175.php</A></DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.eq2guru.com/content/items-pages/5334.php?DB_INDEXINFO=off" target=_blank>http://www.eq2guru.com/content/items-pages/5334.php?DB_INDEXINFO=off</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I mean, are these considered "swords"?</DIV> <DIV>I'm looking for these 'cause:</DIV> <DIV>1)they are piercing damage-type and Dual Wield(I'll have next level pgt in offhand) and so I can skill up both piercslashing</DIV> <DIV>2)Bladed Opening requires a sword equipped in primary</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If they're considered swords, I don't need to switch weapons for Bladed opening...and I'm supposing to be ok until ssoy at 40. Good sword in primary w/proc for soloing, pgt in offhand...it would be perfect.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I missing something?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the attention!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/bow</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kemen</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

You need a slashing sword weapon.  If it says piercing then no it wont work. <div></div>

<DIV>The weapon you need will actually say sword as the description on it, where that one says rapier.  </DIV>

<P>Sabres are not swords either, they are piercing weapons.   I have the pris 2.0 and always thought sabres were a sword, but apparently I was wrong!</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Like a short sword or spatha. It'll say "Sword" in the description, and will do slashing damage.

Also the DW Katanas say sword in the description as well.

<P>You know, I drooled over the Darktalon for weeks, and weeks, and weeks... but by the time I finally saw one on the broker (for only 2p, no less) I had to concede that it wasn't really a justifiable purchase. My current DWs are just as good, and I try not to spend plat just to have something that looks cool. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>But I *really* want the Oblivion Edge. That dropped for us in Lab a while back, and the other ranger in my guild won it. She left the game about a month later.  :smileysad: </P> <P>Absolution (?) looks awesome as well, nice red glowy effect and kickin stats.</P>
