What is the trick to stacking poisons?

I have read other posts that you can stack 3 poisons as long as the %/color is different but so far I havent been able to get any to work.For instance I use the level 30 legendary poison (salvation something) does high damage then dot, but any other poison i use afterwards just overwrites the current one.  I have read that some of the poisons are still buggy.  The legendary one I use dissapears on death often.Is there some trick that I am missing?Thanks,Lariet<div></div>

You can have a damage poison, a debuff poison and a utility poison I believe it is. Basically, they have to be poisons that perform different functions, because poisons of the same function will overwrite.

And generally that's 25% (damage), 15% (debuff) and 10% (special effects)... but sometimes you'll find 10% poisons that overwite 25% ones, b/c all they do is damage. But the percentage difference is a good rule of thumb, usually.

Out of curiousity at lvl 70 what are some of the combinations are u all using, I use Grandmaster Cautic but not sure what will work well with it.

<P>Grandmasters Caustic for damage, Warding Ebb (used to say debuffs poison now says debuffs all magical damage), then grouping I use one that slows attack speed (blue vial Turgar?? I know thats spelled wrong), when solo I use the one that slows the targets movement speed (blue vial no idea on the name).</P> <P>Also solo I'll change out Caustic with Vitality Breech for the extra healing.  And if raiding and I notice I'm burning through power then I'll switch out Caustic with Mental Breach and then its next to impossible to go oom, the trade off is that it doesn't deal damage just pulls power from the mob and gives it to you.</P> <P>Also the blue vial poisons (utility) will work on the heroic adds that come with epics but if they hit the actual epic I've never seen it work so I think they're probably a waste on the epics.  However, the red (damage) and purple (debuff) vial poisons will proc on the epic.</P>

In grouping I use caustic, slow attack speed, and wis debuff.    In soloing I use lifetap and snare.  In raiding I'll use the slow attack or power tap along with caustic.  The cost of the rare poisons are not worth it, unless you get free ones.  In things like raids I think the rare slow is more valuable than additional damage.  Plus, nothing wrong with Adeste's, which besides a big hit had a DOT component.  I haven't been able to find good resist debuff poisons in T7, do they exist?  I just have the basic WIS one, forget what it's called.

When I raid, It's Mental Breach all the way... I NEVER run out of power, so I get to be consistent through the whole fight... My DPS suffers a little on shorter fights, but you don't need it as much on those anyway... <div></div>

I like using the Ignorant Bliss hate reducer, especially on raids - with that running and my usual Elude / Surveil, I never worry about stealing aggro anymore.
