Just dinged 20 - anyone want to do AQ with me?

Hi, Hit 20 on the weekend (server told me I was a lvl 20 Predator which took the shine off it  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  stupid server).  Anyway, was wondering if there is anyone on here in the same position fancied doing the armor quest with me? Good luck getting a group for those now. I remember when I first started EQ2 in Nov. 2004. Everyone and their cousin was doing the AQs. Now it is imposbile to get a group for those quests especially in Stormhold, Land of Debt. Pick up groups do not survive long in SH.

You might have a better chance finding someone under server communities. That way you can ask people directly on your server. Saves a lot of time in the end, too.

Haven't had any luck anywhere, and part of the first quest is to clear sabertooth camps so that some other dude appears.  I can barely solo on mob, never mind clear them all in time  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Like I said - Good luck finding a group for these. you are better off buying pristine carbonite chainmail. Stats are similar. EQ2 has turned into a solo game at the lower levels unless you have a dedicated group to play witih. Pick up groups are non-existent at the level due a to a variety of game mechanics. You are better off doing all the steps you can solo that you can solo and then just trying to grab random people for the group steps when you can.

I'm not into all this gloom and doom about finding groups. I'm playing several low-level alts and I've had pretty good fortune getting pickup groups out in Antonica, for pre-20 quests and the like. Maybe my server is more populated than others, but I doubt it. The point about using your server forum is a good one; try your class or archetype chat channels on your server, and use /ooc and your LFG tag too. You're at the point where you'll start making friendships that can last the rest of the game, so spend some time building those bridges by helping other people too.
