The jboots are a reward item given by "the journey is half the fun" quest starting in Antonica. Click on the URL for info. Note that they are not wearable until level 40 or so.

http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/TheJourneyisHalftheFun.php

The other jboots are from buying the collector set. The legendary boots can be done fairly easily at level 35 with a sacred totem of the wolf. Just gotta know what direction to run to from step to step. It's very easy as a ranger with pathfinding and totem going. About the only thing easier is on horse or being a dirge.

J-boots can actually be purchased still for RL money by accessing your account page from the launcher screen. Don't know how much they are, and I know that they're inferior stat-wise to the Legendary J-Boots that can be acquired by doing "The Journey is Half the Fun", but it's another option if you're in a hurry to get them.

Hask, 40 Ranger 35 Weaponsmith

Knights of the Alliance, Neriak Server

They are $4.95. Save your money, get better boots and status points/exp, do the quest. It's also more fun than spending money.

No, quest starts in antonica. The NPC is at the gates of qeynos. You can be from Freeport and get the quest

FYI, when you finish the Nek run you get a ring that I still can't wear at 31. Decent stats if I remember. I'm still looking forward to finishing the quest... One more tip: If you can talk a high level guildie, friend into grouping with you, it should gray out some of the MOBs that will agro you.
