Troubadours are godly scout class! They have hands down if not the best, one of the best group buffs in-game.Insane amount of utilities, and top it off they have decent damage to give as well.As Troubadours go higher level, along with higher level zones and group mates ---> troubadour's usefulnessstart to shine more and more! And someone just posted, our L50 mez spell is very decent as well. While other scout class has insane dmg to boot, dmg is nothing fancy when we can make entire group do way moredamage that they are currently doing.Enjoy your Troubadour! I realized it slow and parked my Troubadour for a Templar too early.

I would in no way ever say we are Godly at anything. Other scout classes are supposed to have alot higher DPS then us and I hope they do. We make up for it with utility, buffs and general handiness in groups. I call this a nice balance. I chose a Bard/Troubador for the group utility instead of mass dps. I am pretty happy with my choice and think SoE in most respects has done a good job supplementing our dps with good utility stuff.

As a level 49 monk and having a levle 50 troub guildmate I can only agree. With the bard buffs I can have around 300+ on my str, agi, and sta. Then being an avoidance tank, I barely get touched with the bard buffs. Troubs make your group a lot better and especially make tanks a lot better.

While I appreciate anyone reading the Troubador section of the board, there was no reason for your post Orki. Nowhere in her thread did she say anything about Dirges, let alone anything negative. We're all Bards and I like to think SoE has done a pretty good job with both subclasses. You want godly?.... put a Troubador and a Dirge in the same group!

It is great that dirges are fantastic scout class too.I say Troubadour are godly scout class because they are indeed a great scout class. Just a part of my exaggeration. Because in general, people don't really see Troubadors as a crucial, must have class. Wait till they group with one to find out how much they have to offer besides just dps. Now with that I plan to continue saying we are probably one of the best buffers in game. Now of course, we have someone in Spells forum trying to say that our buffs are overpowered and makes AGI users become tank because they don't get damaged at all. Trou + Dirge puts our stats high and mighty. Of course because we don't have much dps, but makes it up in utilities.

hmm, funny I checked back to this post this afternoon. I definately misread Orki's post this morning, my appologies for the getting defensive thing <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I was however being serious that I love groups with me and a Dirge at the same time. I am glad to see that for the most part, Bards are a fun/useful class to play.

If the below URL is really true, expect a nerf bat to come soon. Just hope that it does not swing too hard.<a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=spellart&message.id=19522" target=_blank>At high lvls: AGILITY > DAMAGE MITIGATION</a>

Keep a couple things in mind - our AC and HP is always going to be less than tanks. When we get hit, it HURTS. Agi and skills for dodging has always been around (it's the whole basis of the monk's defenses). Fighters are not the end-all for tanking, just as priests are not the end-all for healing. I've been in plenty of groups with paly's that acted as healers. As far as it goes - if guardians/zerkers took agi status bonuses and items, then they'd tank BETTER than a scout would. This isn't saying it's unabalanced, it's just an alternative from soaking all the hits with heavy AC and high stamina.

I doubt they will nerf the buffs, probably just increase the monsters chances of hitting. So if they hit more, the worse of a tank a scout or brawler will be.

<DIV>Looks like they've done it already...  Anyone know how bad it is?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally I'm really tired of the warrior whining.  I have a problem with warriors basically having just as many spell-like abilities as a casting class, way better armor, more hp and a reasonable amount of power.I think from now on groups can have my +6 offense buff, hp regen buff and my power regen buff.  I just want to make sure that they have to sacrifice str gear in favor of agl gear to get themselves to a reasonable miss 50/50 ratio...</DIV>

<DIV> Zzang here currently lv 39 Troubadour/47 Jeweler on the Faydark Server. I love my Troubadour.  I feel that my character is very efficient at making any groups smoother, better and safer.  I do a decent amount of damage, I can take an decent amount of damage and  I have lots of fun doing it.  We could nice choices of weapon toys. I feel we are wanted in teams and appreciated. We have so many choices in song to match most of the situtations you can come across. If only those buffs would last longer or if teams could hold for 10 seconds so you could rebuff instead of having to do it during battles!! And having an adept 3 powersong is a great asset during crafting!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Zzang.</DIV>
