<DIV>Anyone know who we go see to start the 20th level class armor quests?</DIV>

<DIV>Qeynos Harbor, there's a NPC by the door the rouge classes do their lvl 10 quest inside. Ian-something I believe.</DIV>

<DIV>For Qeynos bards, Ian Cathlan gives out the quests for level 20+ armour.  He is in Qeynos Harbour.  If you ran from the bank to the clock, he'll be 20 paces straight ahead, standing outside near an overhang.  Note, these are not soloable quests.</DIV>

<DIV>does anyone know where the Sabertooth Tormentors are in Antonica for the first part of the quest?  =P and is there a guide somewhere that shows the steps of this quest? thanks</DIV>

<DIV>You have to spawn the tormentors.  Find a gnoll camp, four groups of gnolls surrounding a tent.  Go on a killing spree.  You have to keep all four dogpacks cleared, so a solid group with good damage potential is helpful.  If you kill the last group before the first one respawns, you will generally find something new in the middle.  That new group can contain tormentors.  Killing the tormentors can then spawn elders, which other classes need.  There may have been some changes to this system, but that is how it worked late in beta.</DIV>

<DIV>Right now after clearing the groups you will generally see a group of 2 tormentors and 2 elders spawn in the middle (linked).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In a group of 3 it was easy to do it for 2 full rounds to get the 4 tormentors you need.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The groups you need to clear are around the BB entrance in antonica. Make sure there are no other groups in the area though. I've seen some big nasty conversations between groups when 1 group was clearing the gnolls and the other group was just waiting in the middle for the tormentors to spawn and 'steal' them away from the group doing all the work.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>One question tough , Why is our Quested armor pink?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

12-05-2004, 04:31 PM
<DIV>Pink.. err.. Freeport or Qeynos?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've got the gloves and bracers so far from Qeynos and I see no pink, its a dark grey.</DIV>

<DIV>The boots, greaves and chestpieces are pink.  This is evidently set to change in the next major update.  </DIV>

<DIV>The pink is horrible, at last to me, a male wood elf <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Glad to finally be out of it, hehe.</DIV>

<DIV>Ramac, one question where should we go hunting to get stuff to replace the quested armor? thanks for your help here</DIV>

<DIV>Ruins of Varsoon in Thundering Steppes is a good place for medium armor, as is Runnyeye in the Enchanted Lands, both places also drop fairly many good weapons.</DIV>

<DIV>thanks a lot.:smileyhappy:</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#ffffff>Is our quest armor worth it, or if I have money would an alternative be better.  If so, what.  How long will the quest armor be of good use?</DIV></FONT>

<DIV>When my char turned 20, I immediately went to QH to buy an complete set of medium armor. I didn't know about any class armor quests at the time and when I found out about it later I started the quests.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The medium armor you buy from the merchant lasts all the way up till level 30 (white con at 30) but it only has armor class and no additional abilities whatsoever. I am currently doing part 5 of the armor quest and from the pieces I received so far I can say that the armor class is a fair bit higher then what you can buy and also they have additional attributes (+int, +magic, +poison etc etc). The armor is spread around your levels though. The first items I received are already blue against my level (22), some other pieces are white at 25 and the pants and tunic are white at 26/28 I believe. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I have stored my 'old' armor in my bank because before I reach level 30 I might have to replace it again with that armor (unless I get a nice drop or find a quest that yields a better replacement).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The quest is fun to do though so for that reason alone you should do it. The armor has to be attuned btw so if you intend to use it you won't be able to sell it later.</DIV>

<DIV>Armor quest is nice anyway apart from the 2 first quest I think all the other mobs will give you xp at lvl 20 so....its fun it gives you stuff and you get xp....</DIV>

Can't don the final piece until level 24 though due to skill requirements. On a side note, there is a decent helm quest in Baubbleshire given by the gnome inside the bank called Spindlecog or something like that. You have to learn gnomish first though. He sends you on 3 kill count quests. Final one requires a group I think. The first two I was able to find soloable mobs.

<DIV>Makull said: "The first items I received are already blue against my level (22), some other pieces are white at 25 and the pants and tunic are white at 26/28 I believe"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Makull I think you are wrong here. Im lvl 23 and all the pieces I have con yellow. The first one  I got will turn white on lvl 25, I believe. Just a small correction </DIV>
