<DIV>EDITED FOR DISCLAIMER: I was able to dig deeper and find some of my questions answered. I would prefer to avoid "OMGZORZ YOU'RE A BRIG THE MOST OVER POWERED CLASS IN PVP!!!111!" Because that's not why I picked a Brig. Just would like some useful info, and constructive opinons. Thanks. :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yeah, so I started my EQII life on Venekor...Played a zerker to 52, then made (at the time) a pretty twinked Assassin, and then left to go to Butcherblock to Raid with my current guild as a Dirge (<3)...In my off days I decided to play on Venekor because killing Q's is just so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] fun :smileyvery-happy: !!! So, recently I have been impressed with out Brigs (Dispatch ftw) and their consistent DPS (AE Immunity, etc) and noticed they are a serious pain to duel (becuase of the ability to stun lock) soooo I decided to kill my Assassin (614kill/54 deaths) to roll a Brigand....Already, do I enjoy the Brigand much more for PVP, having to get use to actually getting to the face of my opponet, opposed to stunning and finding their back...I spent a good hour the other day leveling him to 23, he is in full palladium, some chain, but mostly cuirboilli....I was able to pick up M1 Ruse and Rake and some Add III's like Black Jack and Strangling (I forget)...Some steel weaps and now I have questions.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. STR/WIS AA lines seem to be very common for Brigs on PVE servers. However, with Wurmslayer and solid DW options see a lot stay with STR/AGI line. So, STR line seems like the first line to focus on...What would be my secondary line?!!? I mean, PVP reward weapons are pretty stellar, and rivel those of T7 Raid weapons....Any input???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. How often do you guys use Ruse??! I think the ability rocks, haven't had a chance to pvp yet, but can't wait. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Any opinions on leather vs. chain???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4. Any other Brig tricks you can think of??? (Assassin it was like Assassins blade, wait for it to come back :smileytongue: )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance.... Brig #135,523 /salute</DIV><p>Message Edited by DarkVillian on <span class=date_text>10-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:48 AM</span>

in all honesty, it's best to try things out for yourself and see what you like. everyone does things differently.you will develop your own playstyle over time.str is a solid line for any rogue. you'll find little use for int in pvp.i prefer chain, but leather can be cheaper when you're leveling.tricks? there aren't any tricks....<div></div>

I'm on Venekor also as a Brig. I'm going to go STR/AGI - I figure that's the best route for a PvP Brig. Others will disagree, but I like it - I don't tank so doing damage and avoiding damage & having extra power is my goal.Ruse is semi useful. The disadvantage is, it really only works if they hit you. The taunt on it doesn't work at all in PvP so if you are 1v1 it rocks, if its anymore then that don't use it cause you'll fall to the ground waiting to get hit.Chain. Chain. Chain. Better mitigation = you stay alive longer. Also if necessary you can tank a bit. Chain Chain Chain.I'll give you one trick - (though I can't recall the name of the ability right now - its the one that wont let a mob/player change direction). Use it on runners when you know they'll need to turn. My favorites are when they are running towards a cliff. Watch them run off and die. Or better when running up to the griffon hit em, they cant turn around on the slope and get stuck there for a second while you pummel them.<div></div>

<P>To clarify, I'm a big fan of chain for scouts, wouldn't use anything else, other than I had about 22 cuirboilli pelts in my shared bank. Once I get to 32 probably have a some Feysteel made, but was just curious.</P> <P> </P> <P>I'm familiar with the ability you're talking about, I like it already :smileywink:</P>

It's a very valueable skill for PVP. It's the reason I took AGI over WIS on PVP server play. I like WIS on normal servers, but the skills in AGI are well suited to PVP fights.<BR>

I mostly like to stay unnoticed, and without getting hit... let the tanks take the damage, but as you know, you need to have hate to ruse your opponent. What I like to do is use my taunt (I forget what it's called at that level, but it's the taunt that strips divine buffs), Ruse, Stealth deaggro. Most people are so busy auttoattacking and spamming combat arts that if you taunt them and immediatly ruse, they fall for it every single time. Then immediatly evade and stealth evade and they lose your target only to be picked up by the tank again. Works like a charm every time.
