yeah i read all of that. very nice info but still doesnt answer the question. what im looking for is . at what combined DR does DW surpass the 1h/wis line with max AA's or does it ever ?.monks suggest once they pass 120ish on DR dropping the str line is a option then. thats their double attack line like our wisdom line. i do not ever tank so the bonuses from the wisdom line to that are mute.

125.4 DR is what i have now. so i need a 1hander with a DR of what to do more damage combined with the wisdom line ? and can anyone suggest a 1hander that once i can get it to switch to the str/wis set up.

[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], I had written out a bunch of math, then accidentally clicked back button on my mouse and erased it all.

Sunnavbitch.

The result of my math was that roughly DWs with some 130 DR + Avast Ye are roughly equal to a 1H with 80 DR + Wisdom. The math was fairly approximate though, so take that with a grain of salt.

The difference between our line and monks is that monks can't upgrade the weapon they use for STR line. It's just their natural fists, which are upgraded with level and I think are roughly inbetween treasured and Legendary quality or something?

We can actually upgrade our 1Hs, and assuming SoE does not release DWs that don't have a 1H that is on par with them for DR rating (ie: DW DR added * 0.66 = 1H DR) then WIS line will always do more damage then AGI, just since Unencumberance scales with your weapon, while Avast Ye does not.

I was str/wis with frostwrath and the other brigand in guild was new and has legendary weapons and was str/agi. He averaged about 1200 dps while I averaged 1100. I think if you have fabled dws now I'd go str/agi because the benefits seem to be higher and it's not like I slack to hit 1100 dps too. DWs is the way to go no matter what you read imo. Autoattack is only about 400 of my dps so increasing it by 10% is 40 dps. That's not worth all the point into wis for about 40 dps.

So if you do 400 auto-attack, that is 80 DPS, which is more then Avast Ye gives... Not to mention in raids there is a lot more that goes into DPS then just your build. Buffs, poisons, situation, etc all make a large difference.

Maybe on paper, but I have no idea why but all the brigands who dw seem to be getting higher on the parses. I'm interested to know how high agi/wis people get but str/wis seems to only get me about 1100 dps average. Sure I might spike up to 1500 for one fight, it all just depends on when the fight ends, but as an average I think brigands can do better then 1100.

*shrug* Switch over and compare, that's the only real way you'll know. Comparing yourself to others is mostly futile.

I average in the 1300s with wis/agi with spikes up to 1800ish thats in a moderately buffed raid group, and those numbers stay pretty consistant. over the course of one chel'drak encounter i did over 500k damage
